Mix the dry ingredients (salt, sugar and flour) together. You can do this in a bowl, or a mixer, but ideally on a marble surface. Jack Scalfani is launching a new series on Aunt Myrna's recipes. Some of her recipes are over 100 years old coming from her mother. Here is the recipe for Aunt Myrna's Mississippi Mud Pie: BOTTOM LAYER 2 sticks butter melted (1 cup) 1/2 cup cocoa powder 4 eggs beaten 2 cups sugar 1 1/2 flour 1/2 cup pecans 1 tsp vanilla 1/2 tsp salt mix butter & cocoa and then add eggs and sugar. blend well. then fold in flour. Then add pecans, vanilla, salt. bake 9x13 pan 350 for 35 minutes. check with toothpick. large pack in mini marshmallows spread all on top. Back in oven until melted. TOPPING 1 box confectionary sugar 1/2 cup any milk 1/3 cup cocoa 1 stick of melted butter (1/2 cup) mix it all together. Beat well. All smooth. Pour on top of marshmallows.

Here is the recipe: Ingredients * 1/2 cup butter * 2 cups white sugar * 1 teaspoon vanilla extract * 4 eggs * 1 tablespoon cornmeal * 1/4 cup evaporated milk * 1 tablespoon distilled white vinegar * 1 (9 inch) unbaked pie crust Directions 1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F 2. (mix with electric or by hand) In a large bowl, the butter, sugar and vanilla together. 3. Mix in (by hand) the eggs, then stir in the cornmeal, evaporated milk and vinegar until smooth. 4. Bake for 1 hour. Keep aluminum foil over top of pie for first 20 minutes. Then remove foil for last 40 minutes. Take out of oven and let completely cool. Cut and top servings with whipped cream. You will think you have died and gone to heaven.

Add Graham Cracker mixture to melted butter, mix thoroughly, form into crust Chill in refrigerator Ingredients for filling: 1/4 cup of lemon juice (about 1.5 lemons) 1/4 cup of lime juice (about 2 limes) 2 large eggs 14 onuces of fat free, sweetened, condensed milk Directions: Hand mix filling ingredients in a bowl until well incorporated Pour filling into chilled pie crust Preheat oven and bake pie for 15 mins. at 350 Ingredients for whipped cream: 1/2 cup of Whipping Cream 2 tbsp. of Sugar 1/2 tsp. of Vanilla (don't use imitation/extract vanilla) Directions: Add ingredients to a chilled bowl and use a hand mixer to whip cream Whip cream until it's expanded to about twice it's volume and the peaks hold Put a dollop on pie slice and add lemon zest for garnish.
