The following day, the car emerges as an exact replica of the 206's shape - except with many dents and discolorations. The man then takes his 206 replica driving with friends, with many interested onlookers. ---- The track playing is "Heaven Is A Place On Earth" by Raja Mushtaq, later remixed as "Husan", by Bhangra Knights.

But the most satisfying things about this Audi TT rival are that it's fun to drive, comfortable and relatively cheap to run. Up front it feels spacious, and the boot is a reasonable size, so it's easy to live with day-to-day. It's a 2+2 coupé by name, but you can forget about using the back seats for anyone but small children as they're tiny.

2011 Peugeot 908 LMP1 PURE SOUND!! Test at Monza 24h Le Mans 2011
Photos here: picasaweb.google.com Today I've recorded a test at Monza Circuit (Italy) of the new Peugeot 908 for 2011 LMP championship. The track has been wetted by a special water tank. The car hasn't got the racing livery. You can see that there are a lot of new aerodynamic parts like a large engine air-intake mounted on top of the engine cover, the fin on the engine cover or the rear wing mounted on a twin 'swan-neck' supports. The engine is a 3700cc V8 turbocharged diesel engine. The sound is quite different from the old V12 turbodiesel engine and this V8 sounds a bit more noisy (good thing that :) ). Enjoy watching!!!

In the spring of 2012, Peugeot will launch its new model in the 'B' (Supermini) segment. The new car will be available in two distinct body styles; 3- and 5-door. Today, when creating a vehicle capable of appealing to and uniting a wide variety of customers with ever changing expectations, simple renewal is no longer enough. Therefore, from the outset, the 'A9' Project adopted the most ambitious specification overhaul ever undertaken by the Marque to create a vehicle that represents a true generation leap. The 208 embodies the principles of agility and efficiency. The initial technical choices make it a vehicle which is light (110kg lighter on average compared to the 207, and as much as --173kg! with a range which starts at 975kg), aerodynamic (Cd of 0.29, CdA of 0.61), and very compact (-7cm in length, -1cm in height). These benefits are accentuated by noticeably increased occupant space, with more room in the rear seats (+5cm at the knees) and a more generous boot (+15 dm3 in volume), proof of optimised architectural performance. With five models, four of which are equipped with the new generation Stop & Start System (e-HDi), the diesel range starts at 87g/km of CO2 (delivering fuel economy of 83.1 mpg) and never exceeds 99g! The 208 introduces a new range of 3-cylinder petrol engines, 1.0- and 1.2-litre VTi, which are particularly efficient, with a range starting at 99g/km of CO2 (delivering 65.7mpg).

It's good to drive and rides well, while the big boot and top quality interior give it the edge over rivals. There's plenty of safety equipment in the 308 and its high-class interior makes it feel like a more expensive car. The diesel engines are strong and at speed the Peugeot is very refined, so it's a great motorway companion. The 308 is let down by the fact that it's very similar to the 307 that preceded it, so it's cabhin seems a little old fashioned and doesn't feel like an up-to-date car. Meanwhile, the 308 SW has a better interior, but this car's trump card is its huge amount of space inside. The 308 SW is also available with an extra pair of seats in the back, which makes it massively practical and attractive if you have a large family. Do you own this car? For the latest Peugeot TV ad, Peugeot didn't take the easy option and animate in CGI. They looked for something different, something more authentic and crafted to reflect Peugeot's philosophy for designing their vehicles. With that in mind, Peugeot asked London designer Kyle Bean and director Joseph Mann to make this Peugeot commercial entirely from paper. All New 2012 Peugeot 208 reveal promo
Peugeot has unveiled the new B-segment 208 model, the successor to the 207. The 208 has been made lighter and more efficient than its predecessor - with the curb weight of the entry-level variant coming in as low as 975 kg (2145 lbs). It's also more aerodynamic with a Cd quotient of 0.29. Leg-room for rear passengers has been improved by 5 cm (2 inches) and trunk space is larger too. CO2 emissions will be 34 g/km on average less than on the 207. Peugeot will also be applying its e-HDi technology, with a stop/start system, on nearly all diesel variants. The 208 will be introducing a new range of three-cylinder petrol engines too - a 1.0 liter VTi and a 1.2 liter VTi. The Peugeot 208 goes on sale in Europe in the spring of 2012 with the UK launch following in the summer.
