www.basketball-reference.com I know I've been slacking on the Ewing uploads so I decided to upload his big performance in the 1994 Finals. He had 25 points (11-21 FG), 12 rebounds and a Finals record 8 blocks. He was a forced to be reckoned with on the defensive end. Some blocks and points are missing due to the OJ Simpson Bronco Chase interrupting the telecast on multiple occasions. That is not to take away from Ewing fighting his way out of a slump to get the best of Hakeem for a 3-2 series lead. Ewing finally stepped up and The Knicks won the battle, but the Houston Rockets won the war.

Patrick Aloysius Ewing (born August 5, 1962) is a retired American professional basketball player and current assistant coach for the Orlando Magic. He played most of his career with the National Basketball Association's New York Knicks as their starting center and played briefly with the Seattle SuperSonics and Orlando Magic. In a 1997 poll celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the NBA, Ewing was selected as one of the 50 Greatest Basketball Players of All Time.

Patrick Ewing will reportedly interview for the vacant Charlotte Bobcats coaching position, according to the Associated Press. Patrick Ewing will meet with team officials next week, according to anonymous sources familiar with the situation. The identity of the sources is not being revealed as the Bobcats have not officially announced its list of candidates. Ewing is currently an assistant coach with the Orlando Magic and friend of Bobcats owner and Chicago-legend, Michael Jordan.

www.basketball-reference.com May 18th, 1997 What better date than Friday the 13th to kick off my new playlist series "Valiant Effort" Patrick Ewing poured in 37 points and 17 rebounds to singlehandedly keep the Knicks from being defeated by 30+ points. The Heat won the Game to overcome a 3-1 deficit and head to the ECF. This series was infamous for the suspensions that took place late in the series after a brawl. I would say this was Patrick's last above average season in the NBA, and this was one of his finest games of his career. Unfortunately his effort was for nothing as Alonzo Mourning and Tim Hardaway both scored efficiently to counter Ewing's 1 man show. This game prevented a strongly hyped and hoped for Knicks/Bulls ECF. Would have been a fantastic series compared to what the Heat/Bulls gave us. The knicks really should have won this game, and this series. Ewing wanted it badly. More of the Valiant Effort Series to come.

All the points scored in the UNC vs Georgetown NCAA Championship Game by Michael Jordan (16 pts), James Worthy (28 pts), Patrick Ewing (23 pts), and Eric "Sleepy" Floyd (18 pts). All these players would go on to become All-Stars in the NBA. This is the game where Jordan made his game winner with 15 seconds left in the game and UNC taking a 63-62 lead on the shot, which would remain the final score. It was played it the Superdome and also gave Coach Dean Smith his first NCAA Championship.
