www.playbill.com Two of the major luminaries of modern American musicals sit down to talk about "An Evening With Patti LuPone and Mandy Patinkin," their first Broadway reunion since they performed (and won Tonys) together in "Evita." More than a concert, the show features both song and scenes to explore the professional and personal "journey of two souls," as Patinkin says. The secret, LuPone says, is trust and a shared investment in storytelling. Musical director Paul Ford mined the catalogs of both performers to select the perfect songs to illustrate their lives in the theatre.
