Beautiful Patagonia - Torres del Paine
This short film captures the stunning natural beauty of Chilean Patagonia featuring the mountains of Torres del Paine National Park -- jagged granite ridges and spires capped with shale, snow and glaciers. Using time-lapse photography three days of sunlight, clouds, rain and moonlight are captured to show the majestic beauty of this natural wonder. The images are enhanced by the spiritual music from the album "Shiva Shakti Om" by Angelika (www.angelikahealingmusic.com). Learn more about this film and the festivals where it's been shown at http
Patagonia Video: Sonnie Trotter Climbs First Free Ascent...
June, 2006, Squamish, BC Patagonia climbing ambassador Sonnie Trotter climbed the first free ascent of Cobra Crack (5.14). Sonnie worked the overhanging, thin-finger crack 30--40 times over the past few years, often rope-soloing the route to dial the moves, before completing it all-free. Sonnie said, "It's very rare to find a climb that is both overhanging, and so aesthetic. The fingers fit inside, but barely -- if the crack was any more shallow, it would be just another impossible wall, if the crack was much steeper, it may be impossible -- so I consider that route a gift for climbers. I've spent the better half of 10 years looking for a climb like that. It's perfect." Credits: Paul...

Patagonia Video: Creating the Future Patagonia National Park
Conservacion Patagonica, a non-profit organization dedicated to protection of wildland ecosystems and biodiversity in the Patagonia region of Chile and Argentina, is working towards the goal of creating Patagonia National Park, a world-class park similar in size to Yosemite National Park in California. This video vividly showcases the proposed park's landscape and makes a compelling case for its protection and restoration. It also touches on environmental threats to the area like a massive hydroelectric project that would dam two of Patagonia's wild and pristine rivers, one of which runs right along the edge of the proposed Patagonia National Park. Patagonia Down Sweater Review
The Patagonia Down Sweater is one of those essential clothing items that most people tend to overlook when packing for a cold weather expedition. Explore - Argentina - Patagonia to the Pampas 1 of 4 - BBC Travel Documentary
Explore - Argentina - Patagonia to the Pampas 1 of 4 - BBC Travel Documentary, recorded 12.02.2011 Simon Reeve leads a team of presenters on a journey through the spectacular landscapes of Argentina, from the vast ice fields of Patagonia to the wide-open plains of the pampas. In the south, a group of indigenous people are locked in a historic dispute with the area's biggest landowners, Italian clothing giants Benetton; in Buenos Aires, the children of the disappeared are seeking to find out the truth of what happened to their parents at the hands of Argentina's generals; and in the pampas we meet one of the last true gauchos, whose way of life is being destroyed by an argricultural revolution. On the way, we take in one of the greatest matches in world football, visit a penguin colony on the edge, and meet a bishop with a rather unorthodox interest in Evita.

Y Wladfa - (Patagonia)
Extracts from a documentary made in 1961 about the Welsh colony founded in the Chubut province of Argentina in 1865. The original Welsh settlers were looking for a "New Wales" where they could live free from the influences and domination of English. They were offered land in the still unconquered and unexplored area of the Chubut valley in Patagonia. After initial hardships they began to prosper and opened further settlements inland away from Porth Madryn right up to Cwm Hyfryd in the foothills of the Andes. Bonds have been strengthened in recent years between Wales and Y Wladfa with support from the Welsh Assembly Government. There is now a Welsh school and frequent visits between the 2 countries to compete in Eisteddfods and other cultural exchanges. On a recent visit to Argentina, the Welsh rugby team played one of their test matches in the "old colony" to highlight and strengthen this link. There are also links between the Welsh of Patagonia and the Welsh communities in the USA, Canada and Australia. A lot has changed in the 50 years since this was made and this may be of particular interest to the peoples of the townships of Trelew, Gaiman etc. Especially the families of the people who were featured in the documentary.

Patagonia MLC Travel Bag Review
If you're looking to do a lot of business related travel and want something a little more professional than a regular backpack then check out the Patagonia MLC Travel Bag. Patagonia Nano Puff Pullover Review
The Patagonia Puff Pullover is a piece of clothing that can save you when that unexpected cold front hits. Durable, compact, and lightweight, the Nano can be crammed into any corner of your pack until you really need it. It features: - Ultralight face fabric that sheds water and blocks wind - Deep center-front zipper allowing for easy ventilation - Stuffs into a self-storage left chest pocket - Elasticized cuff and hem seal out wind and trap warmth - Shell and lining: 1-oz 15-denier 100% all-recycled polyester with a DWR (durable water repellent) finish. - Insulation: 60-g PrimaLoft® One. - Recyclable through the Common Threads Recycling Program - 266 g (9.4 oz) - Made in Thailand and Vietnam. However, the Nano Puff, like a lot of Patagonia products, has one main flaw in my book: the price. At $160, the Nano will be overlooked by a lot of budget conscious buyers which is a shame because it is a quality item that you're only gonna have to buy once.Special Thanks to YOUNGS BACKPACKING for hosting this review. PATAGONIA
Patagonia is the most southerly region in Argentina and the second largest state in South America - a dream destination of strong winds, endless plains, glacial landscapes and total isolation at the end of the world. In the Tierra Del Fuego region, Ushuaia is known as the Gateway to Antarctica and is a small town that has experienced a great boom in recent years. It is difficult to believe that not long ago nothing but the wooden huts of Anglican missionaries stood here, those who introduced Christianity to the Fireland Indians in 1869. The Tierra Del Fuego National Park was founded in 1960 and is very accessible. The Rio Pipo snakes through the varied landscape and more than sixty thousand hectares cover the border with Chile surrounded by snow covered mountains that survey the land below. Only a handful of people are allowed to visit Penguin Island, closely supervised by a guide and restricted to well-defined pathways. It is fascinating to watch the Magellan Penguins, which actually bray like donkeys, as they waddle along in true penguin-like comical fashion. From the Lago Nordenskjold there is a wonderful view of the park's natural landmark, the two thousand five hundred metre high Torres Del Paine. The remains of a dead guanako indicate that the park is also the habitat of a legendary yet dreaded predator, the puma. Patagonia is an ancient rock and savannah landscape that has been created out of fire, water, wind and ice and is one of the oldest landscapes on Planet ...
