The History of Palestine
History of Palestine Zionism arrived in Palestine in the late 19th as a colonialist movement motivated by national impulses. The colonisation of Palestine fitted well the interests and policies of the British Empire on the eve of the First World War. With the backing of Britain, the colonisation project expanded, and became a solid presence on the land after the war and with the establishment of the British mandate in Palestine (which lasted between 1918 and 1948). While this consolidation took place, the indigenous society underwent, like other societies in the rest of the Arab world, a steady process of establishing a national identity. But with one difference. While the rest of the Arab world was shaping its political identity through the struggle against European colonialism, in Palestine nationalism meant asserting your collective identity against both an exploitative British colonialism and expansionist Zionism. Thus, the conflict with Zionism was an additional burden. The pro-Zionist policy of the British mandate there naturally strained the relationship between Britain and the local Palestinian society. This climaxed in a revolt in 1936 against both London and the expanding Zionist colonisation project. The revolt, which lasted for three years, failed to sway the British mandate from a policy it had already decided upon in 1917. The British foreign secretary, Lord Balfour, had promised the Zionist leaders that Britain would help the movement to build a homeland ...
Debunking the Palestine Lie
Learn more here: tinyurl.com Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas has launched an international campaign to achieve recognition by the United Nations for an independent Palestinian state. Abbas and his international supporters claim that only Israel (with the United States) stands in the way of this act of historical justice, which would finally bring about peace in the Middle East. This video debunks the Palestinians' claim and shows that Abbas has been lying about the origins and history of the conflict. Palestinian leaders have rejected partition plans that would have given them much more land for their independent state than the Jews were offered for theirs. Rather than being the innocent victims of a "dispossession" at the hands of the Israelis, the Palestinians rejected reasonable compromises and instead pursued their aim of getting rid of the only Jewish state in the world. Palestinian does not have any rights to go through freely in Palestine 10.Jan.2012

Further the Israeli intelligence services demanded confiscated the id and car of Mahmoud Zwahre. When he managed to evade arrest, Israeli army called him telling him he would be put on wanted list if he does not turn himself in for arrest within 30mins. Mahmoud is now also arrested, 10mins ago, he was at the DCO in Jericho, to be taken to Ma'ale Adumim. In addition, the IOF apparently held the identity card of Naim Marar intending to force him to turn himself in to the occupation authorities. In addition, since last night, ITF imposed a tight security cordon on the village of Nabi Saleh... Many people joined to show their rights to pass the road freely at Jericho checkpoint today, israeli soldiers were not accept to go trough the road .

The Story of Palestine
When the United Nations, in 1977, proclaimed 29 November of each year as the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, it was a clear admission of guilt towards this people. It was recognition that the Palestinian people deserve international solidarity and support, in the name of justice and rights. This was merely one small event in a long story. The story of Palestine and its people is one that will go down in history. In fact it has already started to do just that. One might say that the victor is the one that writes history. The victor in this case will inevitably be justice, and justice is at the core of the Palestinian struggle against apartheid, colonialism and oppression. And as in every episode in history, everyone will be mentioned according to their positions, and more importantly their deeds with respect to each story. In the day of solidarity, let us remember that.
Shattered Hopes - Israel/Palestine
Despite widespread upheaval across the Arab world and the ongoing statehood bid to the UN by the Palestinian National Authority, little has changed for those living under occupation in the West Bank. To see more go to www.youtube.com Follow us on Facebook (goo.gl or Twitter (www.twitter.com For Suad Amiry, a former member of the Palestine peace delegation, the lack of progress at the UN is frustrating. "Neither the Americans nor the Europeans have been fair in telling Israel enough. We find Obama telling us we are taking short cuts." Meanwhile, life in the West Bank is still precarious, with many living in fear of attacks from Israeli settlers. "They have always come at night, in darkness to attack us. We could not even sleep because of fear", says one woman. Zakaria Zubeidi, a former militant in the Palestinian al-Aqsa Brigades wants a single state, without occupation and with equal rights, but believes this will probably never happen. "The Israeli army has come with tanks and killed our people and in doing so have taken our faith and hope". For many Palestinians it's clear that the Arab Spring is still a long way from the West Bank. January 2012

Spy Vs Spy - Israel/Palestine - August 2010
Arab-Israeli tensions are running high as stories of state-sanctioned assassinations continue to come to light. In this report we delve deep into the deadly art of spy vs. spy in the Middle East. The murder in Dubai of a Hamas operative last January thrust the murky world of Israeli espionage into the headlines. Despite international outcry, Israel has not confirmed responsibility, "the government will continue to do what it needs to", is the Foreign Ministry's line. In the small Hezbollah stronghold of Nabatieh in Southern Lebanon, a local owner of a car dealership has been arrested. "He would swear at Jews, and he is an agent, bringing them here!" Says his stunned neighbour. "It really has been an enormous unravelling" says Alistair Crooke, ex MI6, of the Lebanese government's uncovering countless Israeli intelligence operations, "it is much more damaging than Dubai, because there may soon easily be some form of conflict here in Lebanon". And over the border in Syria a spate of extra-judicial killings are crippling Israel's credibility. "This is a criminal act", says Syrian deputy Foreign Minister Dr Mekdad of the bombing of a Hezbollah military leader's car. "This is simply a program of political killings", Crooke warns, adding that they will radicalise enemies, despite Israeli government justification of hits as "self-protection". SBS

Operation Free Palestine - #OpFreePalestine
Dear Citizens of the world, We live in the most troubled times! Ravaged by debt, enslaved by greed, and trapped by media lies! Our lives have become such a burden, that we forgo the very basic instincts of our being - to care for our fellow brothers and sisters, We must dare to speak out in support of the Palestinian people who resist and endorse the horrific existence brought upon them through our blood thirsty imperial crusade. The people of Palestine wake up in fear everyday knowing it may be their last; they walk the streets with military tanks aiming at them, they have to go through military checkpoints every day just to get to school or work, they are denied their basic human rights, they are shot at from point blank range for peacefully protesting, innocent Palestinian children are used as human shields by the Zionist IDF soldiers. We at Anonymous and TeaMp0isoN would like you to take a few minutes out from your busy lives and just imagine the following existence for you, your family or those you hold dear: Imagine you wake up with no hope every day, imagine your very existence, the future of your children, even the future of your nation was decided by the bullets of an occupying force! Imagine your children growing up accepting death as an inevitable consequence of being who they are! Imagine accepting the indignity of being searched, denied the freedom of movement in your own country; imagine having to queue up at a check point with a terminally or fatally ...

Israeli repression of Palestinian Christians - Remember Palestine -04-07-2012
During the Holy Week, Jerusalem has a special spiritual connection for Christians all around the world as it is the time of the year when pilgrims visit the Old city. However, that period also represents a time of new restrictions for Palestinians, especially for Christian Palestinians who experience a number of obstacles to visit the holiest places that violate their freedom of religion and worshiping. During Easter, Palestinian Christians living outside of Jerusalem in the West Bank and Gaza are required to apply for permits to access their holy sites in occupied East Jerusalem. It is estimated that of those, only 2000 - 3000 Palestinian Christians receive permits. In 2011 Israel restrictions prevented Palestinian Christians from attending Holy Fire Saturday in Jerusalem. Israel allows only 8000 pilgrims and just a few hundred Palestinians. On this edition of the show we will be looking at the obstacles that Christian Palestinians face and how these restrictions affect them. Palestinian mechanic creates vintage-style cars
A Palestinian car enthusiast and self-taught mechanic, can be found in the West Bank city of Hebron building vintage-style cars made from used car parts. Farid Junidi said his passion lies in designing and constructing vintage cars. The 50-year old creates unique vehicles that have got the town talking and heads turning when the car drives by. "My idea was to create something unusual in the city, something that we do not have," Farid said standing in his garage. "The idea was also to show that we can create many things like cars, especially cars that you don't normally see on the streets. I like my job and because I wanted people to know more about my job, I started to create these cars," he said. The 'Junidi 1' is the car enthusiast's first invention, designed as well as built by the man himself, using very basic equipment like body repair tools and a welding machine from his garage. This automotive masterpiece took eight months to build and holds a modern Nissan engine inside the body of the car but its exterior dates back to 1937. Junidi says the car is part of many families' happy memories as it was used during their wedding ceremonies. "Young grooms use this car on their wedding day. We use the car to collect the bride on the wedding day," he said. The car is expected to attract people from the city of Hebron for special events such as weddings. The 'Junidi 1' underwent an official test drive in February and can reach speeds of around 120 kilometers per hour. Junidi ...

ICC rejects Palestinian request to investigate crimes within its territories
The International Criminal Court's General Prosecutor Luis Moreno-Ocampo on Monday said the court will not accept a Palestinian demand to investigate alleged war crimes by Israel since July 2002 until Palestine is recognize as a state by the UN General Assembly. "In order to proceed we need the General Assembly of the UN accepting Palestine as an observer state. As soon as this is done we can proceed," Ocampo told Al Arabiya's New York Bureau Chief Talal al-Haj in an inclusive interview. "There is a problem because In order to proceed I need Palestine recognized as a state because I am not the prosecutor of the world, I am the prosecutor of the countries who accept my jurisdiction. I need a country accepting me and then I investigate the crimes," the prosecutor said. In Jan. 22, 2009, the Palestinian Authority (PA) submitted declaration to the International Criminal Court (ICC) under Article 12(3) of the Rome Statute which allows States not party to the Statute to accept the Court's jurisdiction. The PA's declaration stated: 'The Government of Palestine hereby recognizes the jurisdiction of the Court for the purpose of identifying, prosecuting and judging the authors and accomplices of crimes committed on the territory of Palestine since 1 July 2002. As a consequence, the Government of Palestine will cooperate with the Court without delay or exceptions in conformity with Chapter 9.' Moses was a Muslim who led Palestinian Muslims out of Egypt and liberated Palestine
Interview with Dr. Omar Ja'ara, lecturer at Al-Najah University in Nablus, and specialist in Israeli affairs on PA TV: "We must make clear to the world that David in the Hebrew Bible is not connected to David in the Quran, Solomon in the Hebrew Bible is not connected to Solomon in the Quran, and neither is Saul or Joshua son of Nun [of the Bible]. We have a great leader, Saul, [in the Quran] who defeated the nation of giants and killed Goliath. This is a great Muslim victory. The Muslims of the Children of Israel went out of Egypt under the leadership of Moses, and unfortunately, many researchers deny the Exodus of those oppressed people who were liberated by a great leader, like Moses the Muslim, the believing leader, the great Muslim, who was succeeded by Saul, the leader of these Muslims in liberating Palestine. This was the first Palestinian liberation through armed struggle to liberate Palestine from the nation of giants led by Goliath. This is our logic and this is our culture." Pink Floyd - Song for Palestine
Unfortunate truths become worthless in worthless hands! THE FIRST PALESTINE SYMPHONY EVER: www.youtube.com ROGER WATER'S (PINK FLOYD) SONG FOR GAZA: Over the new year 2009-2010, an international group of 1500 men and women from 42 nations went to Egypt to join a Freedom March to Gaza. They did this to protest the current blockade of Gaza. To protest the fact that the people of Gaza live in a virtual prison. To protest the fact that a year after the terror attack by Israeli armed forces destroyed most of their homes, hospitals, schools, and other public buildings, they have no possibility to rebuild because their borders are closed. The would be Freedom Marchers wanted to peacefully draw attention to the predicament of the Palestinian population of Gaza. The Egyptian government, (funded to the tune of $2.1 billion a year, by us, the US tax payers), would not allow the marchers to approach Gaza. How lame is that? And how predictable! I live in the USA and during this time Dec 25th 2009-Jan3rd 2010 I saw no reference to Gaza or the Freedom March or the multi national protesters gathered there. Anyway I was moved, in the circumstances, to record a new version of "We shall overcome". It seems appropriate. (Roger Waters) PALESTINE SYMPHONY FACEBOOK PAGE: www.facebook.com

Rick Santorum Owned on Palestine
What incredible ignorance. If I ever run in politics I am not going to hide from Israel. I will call a spade a spade. Racism and murder are indefensible. Should they give it back what a nutty question. If you didn't come from the collectivist position of racism the solution is quite easy. There is no reason in the world everyone can't just live in the same place as they do in any other secular country. It's doesn't have to be exclusively Jewish or Muslim or whatever. But that would be the adult thing to do and we are dealing with religion so the next best thing is a two state solution which can not even begin until Israel removes every single settlement (racial colony). If you see him in public ask him to autograph a copy on Mein Kampf you don't really need the book just make the cover and put blank paper inside. That would be too funny.

Israel and Palestine - Years of Blood Part 1 of 2
Years of Blood Examines the bloody terrain of the Middle East over the past six years. Politicians and decision makers offer their views on the issues, and a new understanding of the labyrinth of conflict in the region is brought to light. Part 1 of 2 - No Partner In May 2000 Israel withdrew from Lebanon. In October 2000 the second intifada broke out, following the complete failure of peace talks between the Israelis and the Palestinians. This film follows and analyses the events from that time up until today. Speaking with politicians, decision makers and leading players in the making of this phase of history, this film goes behind doors into the arena of the making of policies. It follows the radicalisation in the West Bank and Gaza, and the death of the Israeli Peace Camp; the Disengagement of the Gaza strip and the rise of Hamas to government. It chronicles the process, and explains it. This episode starts with the Israeli withdrawal from Lebanon in 2000 and takes us through several phases up to the besieging of the Palestinian National Authority compound in Ramallah in 2002.

Palestinian woman frustrated with confinement
Hana Abu Haikal has hardly any visitors to her home; not because she doesn't enjoy playing host, but because her house is in a rather problematic location. Abu Haikal, a 53 year old hairdresser from the West Bank, lives in a house at the centre of the Jewish settlement of Tel Rumeida, which is in the middle of the old, predominantly Palestinian, city of Hebron. The windows of her house are grilled and a high fence surrounds her small garden. Surrounded by Jewish houses, the main route to access Abu Haikal's home is through an olive grove belonging to the settlement. Guests require permission to enter the house before making their way through the Israeli-guarded olive grove, making spur-of-the-moment visits impossible. It also means Abu Haikel has to go miles out of her way whenever she leaves her home. "This is not merely debilitating, it is hampering our daily life. Palestinian get prepared for Nakba Day anniv..
Palestinian refugees gathered in Gaza to prepare for the Nakba Day anniversary. The day of catastrophe or Nekbah marks the expulsions of hundreds of thousands of Palestinians from their towns and villages in the face of Jewish and later Israeli troop advances. The day marks their displacement from Palestine and the loss of their land and property. The tiny coastal enclave is home to over 1,2 million refugees, the largest Palestinian refugee population in the Middle East. The event was a mixture of color and sound in a traditional setting of a pre-1948 Palestinian village with people, old and young, taking part in traditional dances and other activities. Israel has prevented the return of Palestinian refugees, who were either displaced or dispossessed in 1948.After 64 years of displacement, Palestinians say they want the world to know that they will never give up the right of return to their homeland. Palestinians were forced out of their native land, but their customs and traditions have transcended boundaries and lived on decades after occupation passing down from generation to generation, increasing in strength and diversity along the way.
