Paint the Sunset with me
Hey everyone, This is a very different type of video. I recently took up painting again and some of you requested a Speed Painting video so here it is. Sit back, enjoy the music and paint with little Bubz. This is my 3rd painting lesson with Tim Gagnon. He is a fellow Youtuber and amazing artist. I found him a week ago and have been OBSESSED with his painting techniques. His passion inspires me so much and I'm learning so much from him right now. I'm currently taking the Misty Forests lessons from his website www.timgagnonstudio.com You guys can check out his Youtube Channel: www.youtube.com I'm sharing his channel and website because I'm learning so much from him and sharing the joy. I'm not paid by this or anything. I just think he's great and deserves to be known more. I know a lot of you guys are aspiring artists out there and I know Tim would teach amazing things to you all like I did. For 2012, I decided to take up painting for one of my resolutions. I loved painting as a child. I was obsessed with art because I can go anywhere through my drawings. It freed me because it allowed me to escape from the busy World. As I get older, I really realize that the simplest things make me happiest. Sometimes, I feel like the World moves too fast for me. Almost 8 years after High School, I plucked up courage to paint again. Painting somehow slows down time for me because it allows me to be 100% focused on the painting. You guys can read my diary post bubzbeauty.com for my ...
ORIGINAL Elephant Painting
Watch this elephant paint a beautiful image of an elephant holding a flower. You'll be amazed at how her talent unfolds as she carefully completes each stroke. Her mahout talks to her throughout the process as his gentle touch gives her confidence. She focuses on her work and seems to enjoy the approval of the audience and, of course, the sugar cane and banana treats. All of her training has been reward based. So touched by their horrific backgrounds and loving personalities, ExoticWorldGifts.com now supports, "Starving Elephant Artisans" by selling their paintings so they can continue to have a new life in Thailand. Own a print of the art for $15. Some Thai elephant experts believe that the survival of the Asian elephant species will most likely depend on the good treatment of the elephants in well managed privately owned elephant camps. All of us would prefer that all of the elephants be free to be in the wild. For many reasons, that is not possible at this time. You can learn more and purchase these unique paintings at www.ExoticWorldGifts.com

Picture this. You're walking in a gallery, along a wall of oil portraits - all of them impressive works of art. They're so good, they're almost popping off the canvas. Until you realise....they actually are. Al Jazeera reports from Washington DC.
Paint the Forest with me
Hey guys, Thank you so much for the positive feedback from my last painting video. Some of you were asking for more painting videos to come so I vlogged my most recent painting lesson from Tim Gagnon. It's my last misty forest lesson =( I give all credits of this painting to Tim Gagnon. It was his guidance that led to the completion of this painting. I can't explain how much your comments meant to me. It really motivates me to improve and maybe someday- maybe I can become a true artist by selling my work. If not- teaching art will be just as rewarding ^_^. I have so much more to learn and it's given my life so much more direction and inspiration. These types of videos will hopefully show the other side to me. I like beauty, hair and fashion but there's more that inspires me. It also allows me to talk to you guys. I guess... I want you guys to know that despite everything that's happened, I am still the same old Bubz. Youtube has been a great stepping stone for me. It's helped me develop my tshirt range, makeup brushes and has given me countless opportunities. I really realized that happiness doesn't come from success or fame... It's still the little things that make me happiest. It's still the people in my life that keep my days bright. I hope everybody out there will realise their own worth. Nobody is worthless. Everybody can make an impact too, big or small. Thank you so so much for encouraging me all these years. I've gone from a student to a bum to a mini entrepreneur ...

Speed Painting Photorealism... Again.
Another digital painting done from scratch in photoshop using Wacom Intuos 3 tablet. Artwork is completely freehand drawn, with reference photo set off to the side for glancing at. No tracing... ;-) Actual time to do pic was about 3 and a half hours. UPDATE: For the people that think this is fake-- simply do a little research. It's as easy as clicking on my username to see the list of all of my other videos. There you will find an array of different subjects and different mediums... Including photo real techniques with real paint. It it's a pretty reasonable conclusion that if I can do the things I do with real paint-- why would I feel the need or insecurity to fake it with the "less impressive" digital mediums? Why waste my time? You could also consider the efforts it would take to fake such a thing- consider the layering of the shadows and gradients... Look at how carefully it is done in these vids. There is a visible build-up of LAYERS of tones shadows and colors. To fake something like that would take so much effort, why would a guy who can do all of the other OBVIOUS traditional medium paintings on the same channel waste his time? TO MANY PEOPLE ASK: Why "photorealism"? Why not just use a camera? The answer is simple. I've made the point many times in my replies, comments and descriptions. But I'll make it clearer here for those who do not understand: It's for practice. It is the same as a musician practicing scales, so that he can write better songs...Or even a ...

Don't worry. You can still paint a wall like a pro! To complete this How-To you will need: Sandpaper Damp rags Painter's tape Drop cloth Primer Paint roller Replacement roller pad Paint 2 or 3" brush Roller pan Fan (optional) Small painter's brush (optional) Step 1: Smooth bumps & wipe If painting a new wall with no previous paint, use sandpaper to smooth any bumps. If there are any holes, spackle and sand them. Then wipe with a damp rag. Step 2: Cover trim & floor Cover the trim with blue painter's tape and cover the floor with a drop cloth. Step 3: Apply primer Apply a thick coat of primer with a thickly padded roller. This will hide any surface imperfections and keep the paint from peeling. Allow the primer to fully dry. Tip: Choose paint colors a shade lighter than what you really want—colors often dry darker than you expect—and test them on a small, discreet spot. Step 4: Paint edges Tackle the edges first. Using a two- or three-inch brush, apply a band of paint along the edges of the ceiling, windows, doors, baseboards, and cabinets. This is called "cutting in." Tip: Small rooms take about one or ...

VEGEMITE on TOAST SPEED PAINTING: TheHill88's Portrait
A Taste of Australia A Portrait of YouTube's TheHill88 done with Vegemite and a butter knife on 9 pieces of toast. Original painting time 1hr 30mins. Speed Plays in under 4 mins. Music provided by Krill Song: Lady Vegemite www.krill.com.au So what is Vegemite? According the the packaging it is "Concentrated Yeast Extract". I did a little research and originally came from the left overs from brewing beer. Supposedly it is quite good for you and is full of Vitamin B. The taste is hard to describe salty, tangy, and bitter. It is definitely an acquired taste. It was difficult for me to find it in the US, and I had to order it off the internet. There was some controversy in the media awhile back about it being banned in the United States. I guess it was like everything else in the media, overblown sensationalism with little truth and a lot of spin.
