Alright, heres a little update! Thanks to zayacSK, I found out what's his name, Bill Clements... But this video is still worth the watch for anyone with freaking excuses for their limitations or simply for anyone who likes a good Bass-drum jam! Bill Clements is definitively an inspiration! Rock on dude! "Bassist Bill Clements, began playing at the age of 13, inspired by Geddy Lee, Chris Squire, and other prog-rock bass giants. Bill decided early on, one way or another, bass playing would be his path. Forgoing a formal musical education, Bill instead embarked on an intensive program of practice and musical research. How to Jam The Receiver (Marcus Trufant)
Defensive Chair: Before each play, "sit down" in your defensive chair. Knees bent, a slight lean forward with most of your weight on the balls of your feet. Your feet should be a little wider than shoulder-width. Don't place them too far apart or let your arms hang loosely. Keep your hands in a ready position, with your head up seeing the field. Move Your Feet: When the ball is snapped, most times the receiver is going to fire out off the line. So it's crucial that you move your feet and match his momentum. Keeping your feet moving will allow you to react quicker to changes in the receiver's direction, and put you in a better position to turn and run with him if need be. Off-Hand Jam: When the receiver is close enough to make contact, use your off-hand to give him a quick jolt to the shoulder. Your off-hand is the one opposite to the direction of his route. So if he breaks outside, give him a pop with your inside hand just enough to throw him a little off balance without giving up your body position. Ruin the Route: Once you've jammed the receiver at the point of contact, use your hands and body to ride the receiver off his route. But be careful not to grab his jersey or impede his progress directly. That will likely result in an a penalty. The goal is to force the receiver off his desired route, throwing off his timing with the quarterback.

This is the only high-quality version I've heard of this jam, out of several - including falsely titled ones. It's also the best part (being just before the Driving South section). Why John only took an acoustic guitar (with pickup) to the 'gig' in anyone's guess - I'm sure he had others at the time. Although he couldn't have used one of Jimi's, without re-stringing it first. Which reminds me - I've finally bought a proper Fender Stratocaster (white, left-handed), after years of owning copies and Strat-style guitars (with all the others). ALSO TRY HITTING 0:01 OVER AND OVER REALLY FAST. The Backpackers' rule: if we leave trash on the trail, so does everyone else, and the whole environment immediately turns to crap. If we pick up our own trash, the garbage piles don't vanish. They just build up more slowly from the many OTHER people who always leave a trail of crap behind them as they go. So, if we don't like it, we have to pick up other people's trash as well as our own. But sometimes, rarely, a little cleanup goes a long way, and one single person can make a huge difference. During evening rush hour on Seattle I-5, this clogged left lane usually has a 1/2-mile backup. This exit-only lane leads down into the high speed "Express Lanes" under the city. If you manage to exit here, there's rarely congestion in the Express Lanes. You might gain 10min! But the exit itself is jammed. And whenever it's jammed, you might lose more time in the jam than you'll gain from getting on to the express lanes. Also, if you miss getting into the left lane early, then you're screwed, since nobody in the row of ~200 cars will let you in. There is no "zipper merge." The consensus after day 1 was that if a new south swell did arrive as some forecasts predicted, then the pro finals could be borderline epic for an east coast event, and those forecasts were correct. Quarter Finals were run at a lower tide than the previous day, making for difficult conditions for many of the initial heats, which led to some early upsets. Local favorites Michael Brickle and Perry Wells, who looked like shoe-ins on the days prior, struggled with the poor waves and were nudged out in their Quater Final heats, leaving Woody Harris as the only North Carolinian left in the contest. Brad Domke, who's hand had been injured during his heat on Saturday, powered through the pain and into the Semi Finals, while fellow Floridian John Akerman flexed his technical abilities and smooth style to propel himself into the Semis where he would take an unfortunate 4th in an intense battle against Bryan, Domke and Harris, respectively. This battle was the second heat of the Semis and the first to see the bigger waves brought on by the incoming swell/tide combo which provided more variety for the competitors and better entertainment for the crowd. JT Up Close & Personal. Filmed in picturesque Martha's Vineyard, this song features James and his highly regarded touring band as they prepare for their 1992 summer tour. The DVD - "James Taylor: Squibnocket" - captures James in the relaxed atmosphere of his home, thereby giving the performances a personal, intimate quality. This is the band that recorded "James Taylor(Live)" in a rehearsal setting on Martha's Vineyard, and is probably the only live video available of the greatly missed Don Grolnick (playing in James' band). It also features the wonderful Michael Landau, who pulled out incredibly lyrical pedal steel sounds from his electric guitar.
