Diane Schultz, a teacher at Mississippi Heights Elementary School, Sauk Rapids-Rice School District won a $250 OfficeMax Gift Card. She shares the excitement for new pencils and a pencil sharpener with her students. "Diane has had to transform and Science Lab into a Kindergarten classroom with very limited resources. There are many things that she could make use of in her classroom. Diane was hired at the very last minute in August because of an increase in our kindergarten numbers. Diane moved her family here from Kansas and quickly took on the challenge of setting up a classroom. To make matters even more difficult, the classroom that she was assigned was an old Science Lab and not really set up for kindergarten at all. With budgets being tight, Diane did what she could to make her room a positive learning space for all students. She had one weekend to get ready and she hit the ground running."
