Angry Residents Confront Oakland Police Chief & Run Him out Over Lies about Alan Blueford Killing
This is a better quality video of he previous upload.. After murdering high school senior Alan Blueford, Oakland police have been trying to do damage control. Initially they claimed Blueford was involved in a shoot out and shot the officer.. We now know the officer shot himself after killing Blueford.. The officer's name was not released to the public due to California law. The police held a townhall meeting at Acts Full Gospel church to try and calm down angry residence, As Chief Howard Jordan rattled of lie after lie, folks turned their back to him..They were not feeling what amounted to a dog and pony show.. OPD cut the townhall short as folks surrounded the police and demanded justice for Alan Blueford.. We caught up with Oscar Grant's uncle Cephus Johnson aka Uncle Bobby to get his assessment of what took place..

Oakland Police use Snatch Squads and Flash Bang Grenades on May Day 2012
Extraction teams caused a lot of panic during this years May Day protests. Oakland Police sent large groups of officers into crowds of demonstrators. As many assumed, this type of police action created more problems then it solved. One "surgical arrest" would lead to panic, causing officers to arrest more people. At one point there were there was at least 5 arrests taking place simultaneously, initiated after Oakland Police tackled a woman on a bicycle. Copyright Jacob Crawford 2012

Footage from the Occupy Oakland protest, October 25th, 2011. After protesters ran to the aid of a badly-injured person, Oakland Police deliberately lobbed a flash grenade into the crowd. Occupy Oakland January 28, 2012 - Police Brutality
EDIT: SEE THE VIDEO RESPONSE BELOW POSTED BY MY USERNAME TO SEE AN EXTENDED VERSION OF THE FIRST TEAR-GASSING. My camera was continuously rolling, I missed some things but got a lot. I edited it down to try and show all that is necessary to see. The action to take the Henry J Kaiser building started peaceful. The police diverted our route but the march continued toward the building. A fence was torn down in an attempt to take the building and the police fired tear gas. I did not leave out parts where protesters threw things (including the tear gas canisters that were fired upon them). The point was that the police responded with violence to the destruction of a fence. The protesters naturally reacted to this. Since the ability to take the building was stopped by the police, the march moved on (there was chatter of taking other buildings or approaching the building from the other side. I am not clear as to what the plan was). The police stopped the march in its tracks. I was filming the two sides in between them and had the first flash bang grenade shot at me which can be seen exploding at my feet in the video. It put me into a state of shock basically and I was pretty jumpy filming the rest (not to mention all of the tear gas I was breathing). The police responded with violence first in this standoff again. Rubber bullets, tear gas, smoke bombs and flash bang grenades were shot, the protesters retreated. Then the protesters approached again and the process basically ...

A Million Hoodies March for #Trayvon Martin -- OAKLAND / SF
1 Million HOODIES March: Show the World we are all Trayvon. On February 26th Trayvon Martin, a 17 year old Florida teen was stalked and murdered by George Zimmermann when he was returning to his fathers house from the store. Florida's Sanford police dept did not issue an arrest for George Zimmerman. In a disgusting display of hypocrisy the police let him walk free claiming it was self-defense. We heard the 911 calls and about the trauma this is causing for Trayvon's family, his girlfriend who was on the phone and told him to run when he was being followed, and for the people who heard his cries for help. We are tired of bearing the pain of an unjust criminal system that does not value the lives of our children, our sons. We must stand together with our grief, with our rage, and our determination. Throw on your hoodies and come out to Bradley Manning Plaza for Trayvon Martin! Bring pictures, candles, & items to create an altar for Trayvon and our loved ones whose lives have been lost at the hands of an unjust system. What can we do: 1. WEAR YOUR HOODIE ON WEDNESDAY 3/21 and upload a pic to Twitter, Facebook or Instagram with the hashtag #millionhoodies #Trayvon 2. JOIN US IN OAKLAND / SF -- Throw on your hoodies and come gather in Bradley Manning Plaza to show your support for justice for Trayvon Martin! Oikos University Shooting Oakland California April 2, 2012, 7 Confirmed Dead
A gunman opened fire Monday morning at a small Christian university in Oakland, Calif., killing seven people and wounding three, according to the City of Oakland. Earlier reports said five had been killed. "10 people were injured during this morning's shooting, 7 of which are fatalities," Cynthia Perkins, a public safety official, said in a statement. The Oakland Police Department said a possible suspect was in custody. "No imminent public safety threat appears to exist in immediate area," the department said on its twitter account. Some of the wounded at Oikos University were taken away by ambulance, while others were cared for outside the building, the Oakland Tribune reported. The school's director said the suspect had previously been a nursing student at Oikos but was no longer enrolled, the Tribune reported. He was unsure if the man had been expelled or dropped out. Police had been looking for a gunman described as a Korean man in his 40s who allegedly carried out the attack on Oikos University, the San Francisco Chronicle reported. The man had a heavy build and was wearing khaki clothing, police said. Angie Johnson told the San Francisco Chronicle that she saw a young woman leave the building with blood coming from her arm and crying: "I've been shot. I've been shot." The injured woman said the shooter was a man in her nursing class who got up and shot one person at point-blank range in the chest before spraying the room with bullets, Johnson said. The Oakland Commune
On October 10th 2011, hundreds of people in downtown Oakland occupied Frank Ogawa Plaza in front of city hall. They built a self-organized tent city and began to meet some of the community's most urgent needs. They renamed the plaza Oscar Grant Plaza in honor of a young African-American man who was shot and killed by BART Police in 2009. Although the action was partially inspired by Occupy Wall Street and austerity protests throughout the world, Occupy Oakland's particular character resulted from years of struggle and repression in the Bay Area. This short documentary details the ongoing story of the Oakland Commune. It was produced by Marianne Maeckelbergh and Brandon Jourdan with footage from Caitlin Manning, David Martinez, John Hamilton, and tons of archival footage. NOTE: The text at the end should read January 2012.

Occupy Oakland Jan. 28, 2012 Teargas
January 28th, last Saturday, I went to Occupy Oakland partaking in the Move-in day protest, during which time I shot some videos of the confrontation between the protesters and the police. These videos featured drum beating, fire bombs and chaos. It occurred to me to post the videos on Youtube. As a result, I had done nothing for the last three days but monitor my Youtube videos. When the number of my Youtube views flattened, I started to reflect on my experience during these three days. And here are some findings I want to share. We crave violence and there are numerous suppliers. When I first uploaded one seven-minute video of the clash between the protesters and the police, there were only a few views. I found the video title I had selected "Occupy Oakland Protest 1/28/2012" not attractive enough. Thus, I changed it to "Occupy Oakland Police Brutality", betting that a provocative title would attract more views. The number of views increased a little but I was not satisfied. In search for a "better" title, I browsed some news on the Move-in day clash. The words "smoke bombs", "tear gas", and "canisters" struck my eyes. So, I changed the title to "Occupy Oakland 1/28/2012 Teargas". Within minutes, I got 30 views and the next morning, I had 720. After that, I kept editing other features of my video, adding tags like "clashes", "tensions", and "fire bombs" to attract more eyeballs. This experience tells that if viewers crave violence, editors (like me) are more than ...

The latest edit of this footage is available here: www.youtube.com This video was recorded at 5:53:29pm on Jan 28, 2012 1. A march was stopped at Telegraph Ave and William St. (5:49:35) 2. All park exists were closed (5:51:11) 3. The crowed was not allowed an exit while gas / chemicals, projectiles, batons, and explosives were used on the public. Reporters and citizens experienced some extremely aggressive behavior: www.youtube.com Here are a few views of the situation from locals that were on the ground at 19th Street: www.youtube.com www.youtube.com 409 people were later rounded up and arrested down the street at the YMCA: www.youtube.com www.youtube.com I was not certain while filming, but gas was definitely used on this residential area. I definitely felt sick later as the gas reached my apartment. Protesters did not destroy any personal property. Buildings, windows and cars remained untouched (in this area at least). Live rounds were also left behind in the park, which is used by the OSA School as a playground / PE area: p.twimg.com This group began with activism that was inclusive enough to involve the local homeless community. The city's responses seem to be enflaming the situation, in order to make the marchers appear to be an agressive force. I have little doubt that the number of marchers will increase next time since they believe that they have protection under the constitution. The city seems to be circumventing due process and the presumption of innocence in ...

Oakland News: One L Goh Murders 7 At Oikos University Shooting
zennie62blog.com - www.flickr.com -Oakland News: One L Goh Murders 7 At Oikos University Shooting - A terrible day in Oakland. A 43-year-old man named One L Goh (photo found) went to Oikos University at 7850 Edgewater Drive in Oakland, and reportedly pulled a gun, lined up 5 students, and shot them. He then tried to repeat the action with another set of 5 students, but killed two and wounded the other three. Afterward, Goh got into a stolen car, drove to a shopping center in Alameda, and then (apparently having a crisis of conscience) told a retail clerk what he had done, the worker called police, and they came and arrested Goh. The City of Alameda was fortunate Goh didn't continue his killing spree there. Goh is a local man who most recently lived in Castro Valley, then Oakland, and before that Springfield and Hayes, Virginia. His parents live in Oakland at the Westlake Senior Center, where his poor father was the recipient of his son's call telling him what he'd done, and that he was driving a stolen car. The man family members referred to as a "good kid" obviously snapped. The question is why.
