The Old Oaken Bucket - The Edison Quartet 1902 - On Location at the Old Oaken Bucket House
Victrolaman went on location to bring you the Edison Quartet's 1902 recording of "The Old Oaken Bucket", at the Old Oaken Bucket House in Scituate Massachuetts. The original poem was written by Samuel Woodworth, who grew up in this Historic Homestead. Samuel Woodworth was born in Scituate in 1784. As a boy he helped his father farm and often, hot and thirsty, drank from the well. He later became a publisher in New York and in 1817 wrote the poem which became famous the world over. In the early 1870's the words were set to music, this rendition by the Edison Quartet was recorded in 1902 on an Edison 2 minute Gold Moulded Cylinder Record. Here is the 2nd verse of the poem, that is not included in this 2 minute version of the Song. The moss covered Bucket, I hailed as a treasure, For often at noon, when returned from the field, I found it the source of an exquisite pleasure, The purest and sweetest that nature can yield. How ardent I a seized it, with hands that were glowing, and quick to the white pebbled bottom it fell Then soon, with the emblem of turth overflowing, and dripping with coolness, it rose from the well. The Old Oaken Bucket, the iron bound bucket, The Moss Covered Bucket that hung in the well.

Hey. What's up everyone? Get Amazed Ep.1 is finally out and it is my first edit uploaded in this new channel. Actually, I had a great time editing this episode for my current clan - Amaze - not only 'cause I love to edit but also 'cause it's awesome to edit these sick clips from all the amaze members. I worked ONLY with after effects and I tried to add a lot of effects and nice transitions but I was also remembering that I didn't want an overedit. Instead I made something nice and clean. I have an open mind and if you didn't like this please comment saying why so I can correct some mistakes in my future montages. Feel free to ask me any questions you may have and if you want to learn any of the effects I used in this montage just post a comment and maybe I'll do a tutorial for it.
