This song is from the original album recorded in 1963. It has the spoken intro by Ray introducing one of the very first country "theme albums". Note that he mentions that the song was written by a boy down TEXAS WAY. That boy was the then unknown Willie Nelson who later became a member of Ray's band. The great Buddy Emmons is on the steel guitar.

I recently found out from a friend that while Gary had my original video of this session in his possession, he had combined my video with a tape that was also shot by Jack & Phyllis Perkins, but he accidentally recorded over mine, so my tape ended up becoming a "hybrid" of both videos. I'm not sure which songs on my tape are the ones I shot or the ones that the Perkins shot (we were both video taping from very similar angles). Regardless of which one of us shot this particular song, I hope you enjoy the playing of these two great steel guitarists.
