Nickelodeon Doo-Wop Bumpers
These bumpers are pure genius to me. This was when they started making awesome bumpers that people remember still to this day. I also love the story behind these bumpers. Two people, Fred Seibert and Alan Goodman used to be known as "logo guys". They are known for developing (not disigning) the MTV logo. They worked for MTV Networks for a little while, until they had the idea of developing media brands. They left MTV Networks and started Fred/Alan Inc. The first clients for Fred/Alan was MTV Networks. Fred and Alan, along with Tom Corey and Scott Nash, developed what is refered today as "the orange splat". Fred and Alan wanted to then create bumpers for Nickelodeon. They worked with Eugene Pitt, leader of The Jive 5, and several different animators. The hardest part was convincing Nickelodeon to use Doo-Wop. Nickelodeon executives believed, "Doo-wops 30 years old, no kid has ever heard of it. According to Fred Seibert, "We won the day on two grounds. "Fred played on the executives liberal backgrouds. 'We love all forms of African-American music, and using doo-wop will be a great way to educate American kids without anyone being the wiser.' "Alans worked even better. He opened his mouth and, quoting The Marcels arrangement of chestnut 'Blue Moon,' sang: "'Bom-ma-bom, a-bom-bom-a-bom, ba-ba-bom-bom-a-bomp, b-dang-a-dang-dang, b-ding-a-dong-ding.' Constant Payne *UNAIRED NICKELODEON CARTOON PILOT
Had this aired on Nickelodeon back in the early 2000's, it would've been the first anime-based, action-oriented cartoon in it's history. But due to some of the content in it (watch towards the end. There's a scene where the main character's blimp jet almost crashes into two identical looking skyscrapers), it was never released due to the events of September 11th. So enjoy what could've been and should've been.

Best TV show nominees include Good Luck Charlie, iCarly, Victorious and Wizards of Waverly Place. TV Sidekick's really have iCarly representing with Nathan Kress, Jennette McCurdy and Jerry Trainor all in there -- but so is Jennifer Stone! A major category this year is tv actress. How can you pick between Miranda Cosgrove, Selena Gomez, Victoria Justice and Bridgit Mendler?? The favorite movie category includes Alvin and the Chipmunks, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2, The Muppets and The Smurfs. The Nickelodeon Family Suites Hotel by Holiday Inn in Orlando, FL recently added a $3 million addition of a new 4D theater. This state-of-the-art theater held its grand opening on June 24th, 2008, premiering several 4D films including one featuring SpongeBob SquarePants. I'm your host Dana Ward in Hollywood with details about an upcoming tv appearance from One Direction. The guys are set to hit up the stage for the 2012 Kids Choice Awards. This is already set to be quite the star-studded affair with a crazy confirmed guest list, a cool pre-show and an orange carpet of fun. From what we hear, 1D will perform "What Makes You Beautiful" for the live audience. The award show's host, Will Smith will be on hand to make sure that everything runs smoothly, but we're thinking that as always there will be some surprises in store for us all. Nickelodeon Universe is an indoor theme park at Mall of America in Bloomington, Minnesota. Mall of America is the largest mall in the United States of America, and Nickelodeon Universe is the largest indoor theme park in the United States of America. There are 5 roller coasters at Nickelodeon Universe... SpongeBob SquarePants Rock Bottom Plunge - A Gerstlauer Euro Fighter that goes through a vertical lift and drop, a loop, over bank turn, and into a zero-g roll. Avatar Airbender - An Intamin halp-pipe themed to the famous Avatar series. Fairly Odd Coaster - A Gerstlauer spinning coaster that twists and turns through many helixes and drops for a fun filled family ride. Pepsi Orange Streak - A family ride that circles around the whole theme park area, contains 2 lift hills for a long packed ride. Back at the Barnyard Hayride - A roller coaster for the kids that circles around a beam for an easy going layout. Some of the ride that are also located at Nickelodeon Universe are the newly opened Brain Surge, Tak Attack, Jimmy Neutrons Particle Accelerator, Danny Phantom's Ghost Zone, and Log Chute. All footage was taken in March of 2010.
