WCIX (Channel 6) Miami News Bloopers 1985
This Channel 6 Miami news blooper reel was produced less than three months after our move from Brickell Avenue to what is now Doral. The hopefulness of a new beginning is mixed with the usual silliness (and vulgarity) of our news bloopers, on this piece that I co-produced with weathercaster RJ Heim and feature reporter Bill Retherford. Look for the following blasts from the past (in order of appearance): Barbara Sloan, Solon Gray, Rod Meloni, John Turchin, Joyce Evans, Andy Leopold, RJ Heim, Mike Bradley, Glenn (what city is this?) Hutton, Gail Anderson, Steve Zager, Bill Retherford, and the late Nelson Milton.
The dutch news bloopers - subtitled
A subtitled version of the video about the bloopers in the dutch news. I really tried to translate everything as literally as possible, however some dutch expressions are very hard to even describe in english. Some words might be a bit strange to you, so I'll sum them up here: 0:58 NOS is the company, that takes care of most of the dutch news. 2:37 VVD is a dutch party, which stands for "Volkspartijd voor Vrijheid en Democratie", Party of the people, for freedom and democracy. 2:50 Wieringermeer and Medenblik are names of villages. 3:21 Utrecht is a place in the Netherlands. 4:17 Pim Fortuyn was a politician in the Netherlands, but he was murdered. 5:21 VUT-regeling is the "vervroegd Uit Treden-regeling", which was a law which made it possible for people to retire early. 7:23 Hagelslag is a typical dutch food, while hagel is the dutch word for hail. 7:42 The "gulden" was the way of paying until 2001, when the euro came in.
1988 WCIX Miami NEWS BLOOPERS (Walking The Line With The 10:00 News)
This was our final WCIX news blooper reel as an independent station. Just three weeks later, we'd become CBS owned-and-operated, and everything would change forever. (Note: all news blooper tapes contain four-letter words.)
