And a too big to fail bank agrees to pay 20 million bucks to settle allegations from regulators that it mishandled customer funds before a major broker's collapse, but the details may surprise you. If you guessed JP Morgan, then you got half of the story right, but if you guessed the broker was MF Global, well, we have news for you: it's Lehman Brothers. That's right, JPMorgan Chase agreed to pay a $20m fine to settle allegations that the bank mishandled Lehman Brothers' customer funds for roughly two years before the broker filed for bankruptcy court protection. The Commodity Futures Trading Commission alleged that JPMorgan, at the request of Lehman, began using customer funds in November 2006 to calculate how much credit it would extend to Lehman Brothers intraday, in violation of customer segregation account rules. Mainstream "Neoclassical" Economists famously did not see the Great Recession coming, and when you look at their theories, it's no wonder. Their favourite model prior to the crisis goes by the name of "Dynamic Stochastic General Equilibrium", or DSGE. These models imagined that the entire economy could be modeled as a single individual. Yet neoclassical researchers proved decades ago that even a single market can't be modeled that way. I explain this proof while outlining the fundamental truth that "Neoclassical Economists Don't Understand Neoclassical Economics".

Thank you all for your suggestions!!!!!! I read through all of them and considered each one of them. Here were my top 3: 1. "Impulse of a Mischievous Spirit" (your1truluv) 2. "The Playful Flame" (GTXRussianXTG) 3. "Let the Little Lads Live" (uraniumheart) I was deeply affected by iaiceikiingi47i who wove a story of corruption and power, of a man who, after being corrupted by power, loses his friends and is now alone.I felt that this story represented the different dimensions of this piece quite well. I ended up creating the name "Heir to the Throne" and I will explain why: In the beginning of the piece, imagine a young prince, heir to the throne of a kingdom. Every day he tells his friends, once he becomes king, he will institute great reforms. His father soon passes away during a war (0:45) and soon after, he is crowned the new king (0:56). After the transition takes place, the new king begins to explore his newfound powers (1:36). He begins implementing all the great reform ideas he had in his youth (2:15), and initially, the country prospers under his rule (2:35). However, soon he discovers the dark side of power (2:55) as he realizes he has more power than he had ever imagined. And so, he starts to implement extreme policies (3:35) and begins to treat his subjects with increasingly more cruelty. He sees his old friends again (4:15), and they briefly reconnect, as they try to remind him of his former self, before they realize that he has become a monster. The piece ...
