YEAH, EVERYBODY CARES ABOUT THIS A LOT, FAGGOT. A young boy, Nemo, and his flying squirrel, Icarus, are transported via dreams into a fantasy land named 'Slumberland' following an invitation to play with the princess Camille. After breaking a promise to the king, Nemo's curiosity evokes disastrous results that require him to search out his nightmares to save the day. I'm too lazy to compress the avi to make it a more manageable file size and whatnot so the later segments are only about 5 minutes long each. Sorry about that; uploading movies to youtube is not exactly a huge part of my life, though.

January 2005 Since the success of the film 'Finding Nemo', demand for tropical fish has soared. But the seas of the Pacific are literally being emptied to feed this frenzy. Tropical fish are now virtually worth their weight in gold. "Everybody wants one because of this Nemo film," explains SRS Manager Larry Dacles. His company has a monopoly on tropical fishing in Vanuato, home to some of most popular tropical fish in the world. Former workers claim it got this monopoly by bribing government officials. In just three years, SRS has alienated local tourism operators, who depend on the tropical fish as an attraction, scientists, fear an ecological disaster in the making, and the traditional owners of the reefs. "They take anything and everything," complains one local. "It's out of control." Already there has been a 50% fall in tropical fish from the reefs. Finding Nemo - Director Andrew Stanton about Thomas Newman: "Over four years ago, when I begann writing "Finding Nemo" I knew that, besides Nemo, Marlin, and Dory, one of my other main characters would have to be the music of Thomas Newman, It's true. Tom's music wouldn't just be an integral part of the story, it would be essential. In fact, I wrote the entire screenplay listening to just his scores. If you had only one word to define Thomas Newman's music it would be "bittersweet." In Tom's world, beauty and sadness are never too far away from each other. Capturing the duality of a moment is his greatest strength, and "Finding Nemo" demanded that skill: over-protectiveness vs. freedom, fear vs hope, pessimism vs optimism - all of these life issues wrapped up in the metaphor of the vast and unpredictable ocean. Whew! That's a lot to swallow, yet Tom managed to evoke all of that and more. In the movie, Dory is the little angel that drifts down into Marlin's life, and guides him through the unforgiving ocean to the emotional answers that even he didn't know he needed to find. Well, Tom has been that little angel for me on this film, and I'm grateful for the emotions his music has helped me discover. Thanks, Tom."
