It introduces Germany as a nation whose aggressive ambitions began in 1863 with Otto von Bismarck and with the Nazis as their latest incarnation. Hitler's plan for world domination is described in terms of Halford John Mackinder's Heartland Theory. The next focus of the film is the "softening-up" of the Western democracies using fascist organizations such as the Belgian Rexists, the Sudeten German National Socialist Party of Konrad Henlein, the British Union of Fascists and the German-American Bund. Meanwhile, within Germany the Nazis are beginning an enormous process of rearmament. Germany then begins its territorial expansion with the first target being Austria, Hitler's "full-scale invasion test". He then uses his Sudeten "stooges" under Konrad Henlein to "soften up" Czechoslovakia and annex the Sudetenland with the help of a Britain and France desperate to avoid war. Hitler's use of the concept of self-determination as a justification for these annexations is ridiculed by reference to prominent German Americans thoroughly loyal to the Allied cause, including Admiral Chester Nimitz, Henry J. Arguably one of the most important documentary series ever made, The Nazis: A Warning from History sets out to show that, far from being a uniquely German aberration, Nazism fed upon and was fostered by the prejudices and lemming-like inclinations of ordinary people. Although culminating with the atrocities of the Holocaust, these programmes are equally good on the motives of otherwise perfectly normal people, who needed only the tacit encouragement of the regime to perpetrate horrors against their enemies, their neighbours, or their own family. When confronted with evidence of their Nazi past, elderly former party members are often unable to find any other justification for their actions than simply that they could get away with it. Far from being a monolithic dictatorship which compelled the citizenry to act in rigidly prescribed ways, the Nazi state just allowed people to give their worst inclinations free reign. Hitler, it turns out, was a profoundly lazy man who rarely got out of bed before midday, and preferred to leave affairs of state to sort themselves out. The Holocaust in color Nazi rising terror and concentration camps
Color footage of the Third Reich and their crimes against the Jews. Concentration in color matarial is rare (the footage of the camps is shot by US forces), I guess you can guess for yourself why (Nazi's didn't want to show the camps to the people.) The concentration camps and some color pictures are shown at the end of the video in the last 4-5 minutes. Before you'll see the concentration camps you'll see the ghettos and other public crimes against the Jews. The raise of Nazi Germany meant the starting of the so called 'final solution' or 'entlösung' in the German language. I personally think that this is the worst crime of Nazi Germany and their allies. Death camps were hidden from the normal people since they would never agree with such a innocent killing of woman, man and children. The Nazi's had so much power that they could kill a specified group of people without any problems. But don't just blame the Nazi leaders! The fact why so many Jews and others could be killed is not only the fault of the Nazi leaders. Not Adolf Hitler nor Heinrich Himmler killed a single Jew but thanks to 'normal' people Jews ended up in concentration camps. He wanted to persuade them to extend the Nazis' anti-Jewish program to the Arab world. The Mufti sent Hitler 15 drafts of declarations he wanted Germany and Italy to make concerning the Middle East. One called on the two countries to declare the illegality of the Jewish home in Palestine. Rumble Militia is a hardcore/crossover/thrash band from Bremen, Germany. Rumble Militia is founded by guitarist/vocalist Staffi Agoropoulos (of Greek origin) and Hakan 'Hacki' Onuk(of Turkish origin). Rumble Militia's line up is completed by Marcus Drewitz(bass) and Olli(drums). They recorded their first demo 'Treson' in 1986. After getting a nice feedback for their demo, they recorded their first LP 'Fuck Off Commercial' in 1987. This album also got good response both from from fans and critics.They continued their musical journey with releasing 'En Nombre Del ley' in 1988. Chile Under Pinochet from that mini album became fans favorite. Rumble Militia went on to a tour with Death Angel in the same year. Rumble Militia also supported Suicidal Tendencies on a couple of shows in December 1988. After that tour Rumble Militia recorded new demos and searched for a new record company. Soon they made a contract with Century Media and released 'They give you the Blessing' in 1990. That album became Rumble Militia's most successful release to date. They toured Germany with Poltergeist in the same year. They made a video clip for 'No Nazis' on 15th April 1990. This song became Rumble Militia's trade-mark song, also an anti-facist anthem. That video clip also got airplay on Mtv's Headbangers Ball and introduced Rumble Militia to a bigger audience. Part 1 is an explanation and a recap of what the Nazis were, to set up for the presentation of his theories in part 2, which nobody has watched so far. An excellent lecture-as-film analysis of the thinking behind the Nazi movement. In essence, he takes the position that the "lesson learned" about Nazism is false when we claim that somehow the Germans sort of just went nuts. Instead he shows evidence that the Germans had what they considered rational reasons to support the Nazi party. How could that be? I admit that if you are not in the mood to process this mentally, it can be a bit much. However, once you get through the whole thing and understand the implications, you'll want to study it carefully. Arguably one of the most important documentary series ever made, The Nazis: A Warning from History sets out to show that, far from being a uniquely German aberration, Nazism fed upon and was fostered by the prejudices and lemming-like inclinations of ordinary people. Although culminating with the atrocities of the Holocaust, these programmes are equally good on the motives of otherwise perfectly normal people, who needed only the tacit encouragement of the regime to perpetrate horrors against their enemies, their neighbours, or their own family. When confronted with evidence of their Nazi past, elderly former party members are often unable to find any other justification for their actions than simply that they could get away with it. Far from being a monolithic dictatorship which compelled the citizenry to act in rigidly prescribed ways, the Nazi state just allowed people to give their worst inclinations free reign. Hitler, it turns out, was a profoundly lazy man who rarely got out of bed before midday, and preferred to leave affairs of state to sort themselves out. He subscribed fervently to the doctrine of survival of the fittest as applied to all social and political matters, and actively encouraged in-fighting among his subordinates. The result was an organisational vacuum at the centre of state, which super-ambitious acolytes were only too eager to fill, often acting on nothing more than the Fuhrer's off-the-cuff remarks.
