Normally I would leave the origami flowers for Joost Langeveld ; ) but this EASY to fold flower, showing that beauty and simplicity can go along quite well, I could not resist. Also helpful if you can not cook, but you can fold ; ) ... they wont even notice the charred, over-cooked, too salty or otherwise spoiled food :D Original design is by Kunihiko Kasahara (or maybe he just wrote the book?) who called it a Chrysanthemum. As those have much more petals I personally felt it comes closer to the 8-petal Arabian Jasmine (or the American Lotus) Ive renamed it to simply Jasmine. Learn more about the exhibition Vienna Circa 1780: An Imperial Silver Service Rediscovered on view at the Met April 13, 2010 - November 7, 2010: tinyurl.com Joan Sallas Following the acquisition in 2002 of a pair of wine coolers from the Sachsen--Teschen Service, the core of the surviving parts was discovered in a French private collection. This superb ensemble was last displayed at the beginning of the twentieth century. Wine coolers, tureens, cloches, candelabra, candlesticks, dozens of plates, porcelain-mounted cutlery, and other kinds of tableware, totaling more than three hundred items, represent the splendor of royal dining during the ancien régime. It was made for Duke Albert Casimir of Sachsen--Teschen (1738--1822) and his consort, Archduchess Marie Christine of Austria (1742--1798), daughter of Empress Maria Theresa, by the Imperial court goldsmith Ignaz Josef Würth. The Sachsen--Teschen Silver Service, an embodiment of Viennese Neoclassicism, is shown in the context of contemporary silver from other countries. The exhibition is made possible by the Anna-Maria and Stephen Kellen Foundation.

Make these cute silverware pouches and you can tuck everything into the napkins! To complete this How-To you will need: A cloth napkin An iron Starch Step 1: Starch the napkin Iron the napkin with starch. Step 2: Fold into quarters Lay the napkin facedown. Fold it into quarters and position it so the four open flaps are at the top right. Step 3: Roll down layers Roll the top-most layer of napkin diagonally down until it reaches the center of the napkin, and crease. Step 4: Repeat Repeat with the next two layers, rolling them down until they meet the previous roll. Tip: Iron the creases for sharper edges. Step 5: Flip it over Flip the napkin over so the closed side is on the right. Fold the closed side back about one-third of the way, and then fold the open side back on top of the first fold. This week: a rigged game of skill & a simple sucker bet! First off, our main event: it seems like everyone makes up goofy little games to pass the time at the bar. This week we've got one with a secret method that will guarantee you the win: The Setup: lay out a bunch of pocket change (and I mean a LOT of it... quarters, dimes, nickels, etc.) and a small cocktail napkin. The Rules: take turns laying down coins on the napkin. You can place any size coin you want, anywhere on the napkin, as long as nothing goes over the edge or touches another coin. The LOSER is the one who can't find a proper place to set their coin (... and no balancing coins on their edges!) The Scam: play a few games. Win some. Lose some. Once you're playing for money (or beer), move in for the kill: start by placing one coin in the middle of the napkin. After that, place your coins in an *exact mirror image* of your opponents' moves. As long as you copy their every move, there's no possible outcome except for the napkin getting perfectly filled on your turn! *Bonus scam* pull out a penny, and have your friend count the number of letters on the head-side. Odds are good that he'll come up with 19 (20 if you count the "d" that may or may not appear under the date). In fact, there are actually 22 or 23 letters, since clearly visible (albeit VERY small), are the letters "VDB" on lincoln's bust (these are the initials of the engraver)!
