Best Of Motown

These are the some of the songs that I think are best of Motown Records. Also, the song "the lonely tear drops" by Jackie Wilson is not Motown Records, but that was the song that Gordy wrote for him and with that money he made Motown Records. ENJOY :D I don't own some of the artist's videos.

Michael Jackson - Billie Jean (Motown 25th Anniversary) Best Dance Performance Ever

Michael Jackson - Billie Jean (Motown 25th Anniversary) Best Moonwalk Ever Rest in Peace MJ !!!!!!! She was more like a beauty queen from a movie scene I said dont mind, but what do you mean I am the one Who will dance on the floor in the round She said I am the one who will dance on the floor in the round She told me her name was billie jean, as she caused a scene Then every head turned with eyes that dreamed of being the one Who will dance on the floor in the round People always told me be careful of what you do And dont go around breaking young girls hearts And mother always told me be careful of who you love And be careful of what you do cause the lie becomes the truth Billie jean is not my lover Shes just a girl who claims that I am the one But the kid is not my son She says I am the one, but the kid is not my son For forty days and forty nights The law was on her side But who can stand when shes in demand Her schemes and plans cause we danced on the floor in the round So take my strong advice, just remember to always think twice (do think twice) She told my baby,we where dancing still 3:00 Then she looked at me, she show me a photo My baby cried, cause his eyes where like mine People always told me be careful of what you do And dont go around breaking young girls hearts She came and stood right by me Then the smell of sweet perfume This happened much too soon She called me to her room Chorus Billie jean is not my lover Shes just a girl who claims that I am the one ...

Motown 25 - Yesterday, Today, & Forever [LaserDisc]

(c) Sony Music Entertainment: Michael Jackson - Billie Jean (c) Believe: No Milk - Yesterday,Today, and Forever (Original Mix) (c) INgrooves: Jae Millz - I Want You (c) Universal Music Group: Marvin Gaye & Tammi Terrell - Ain't No Mountain High Enough Motown 25: Yesterday, Today, Forever is a 1983 television special produced by Suzanne de Passe for Motown Records, to commemorate Motown's twenty-fifth year of existence. (Motown was founded in January 1959, meaning that a twenty-fifth anniversary special should have aired in 1984, not 1983. One could argue that Gordy's vision of what would become "Hitsville USA" was conceived in 1958, considering the month of Motown's founding.) The show was also co-written by de Passe along with Ruth Adkins Robinson who would go on to write shows with de Passe for the next 25 years, including the follow-up label tributes—through "Motown 40," Buz Kohan was the head writer of the threesome. The program was taped before a live studio audience at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium in Pasadena, California on March 25, 1983, and broadcast on NBC on May 16. Among its highlights were Michael Jackson's performance of "Billie Jean", a Temptations/Four Tops "battle of the bands", Marvin Gaye's inspired speech about black music history and his memorable performance of "What's Going On", a Jackson 5 reunion, and an abbreviated reunion of Diana Ross & the Supremes, who performed their final #1 hit, "Someday We'll Be Together" from 1969.

Rhythm Guitar: Beginner's Guide to Funky Motown Rhythms

www.creativeguitarstudio.com SearchAndrew Wasson.com for FREE lesson Handouts. This Video: August 05, 2011 | Search Videos by Title/Date. GO TO: www.andrewwasson.com Andrew Wasson of Creative Guitar Studio answers a viewers question... Q: I really enjoy that funky, jazzy, Motown rhythm guitar style but my ability with it is simply terrible. I was wondering if you could give me some tips on two levels... One, is how to play some really simple double-stop shapes that can help me to develop my rhythmic feel. And second, help me with some of the popular chords that make up a large part of this particular style. Thanks for your guitar lessons -- they're the best on the net! Liam -- Rochester, NY. A: The funky jazzy Motown style of guitar playing is an excellent platform for the practice of rhythm guitar. And, as you've likely noticed with the grooves, that I'm sure you've heard in many songs by artists like; The Commodores, Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, the Funk Brothers and many, many others. This style does contain - full chords, as well as partial chords, double-stop lines and even single-note melody. In this video lesson I've created a progression that we'll use as a back-drop for learning three rhythmic grooves. A single-note melody line, a double-stop riff, and a set of larger chords to develop as well. The complete lesson article for this video will be available on the Creative Guitar Studio website shortly. Follow me on Twitter for lesson posting announcements: twitter ...
