Sonic Unleashed - Wii - Dark Moray
Holoska Night Dark Moray The second Werehog boss in the game is a bit more complicated than the Dark Gaia Phoenix...or not. I don't actually know. They're all so simple when I remembered their patterns entirely. I do remember taking a while to figure out what needs to be done, unlike the Dark Gaia Phoenix, so its definitely a step up. The Dark Moray is a stationary boss, but somehow, it has control of a force field creating device that Sonic needs to disable before he can get to it. There are three main phases to the battle corresponding to the three pimples or cysts or whatever they are; each time Sonic pops one, the Dark Moray knocks Sonic back to the outer ring and turns the force field back on. Sonic will need to disable the machine again. Also, the Nightmares and Deep Nightmares you see here are just for distraction. You can pretty much ignore them. For the third phase, you're supposed to freeze Dark Moray when it slams itself against the floor, then go on top and attack the lump on its back right below its head. It wasn't getting itself in the proper position, so I just slowly wore away its health. The way there's a small outpost of highly advanced technology in a the middle of a bunch of ice floating over the ocean reminds me of Metroid... Requested by phantom1053

Sonic Unleashed - 360 - Dark Moray
Holoska Night Dark Moray Apparently, you could beat down the Dark Moray in the Wii/PS2 version without having to hit the green lumps. Not so in this version. The Dark Moray is invincible unless you swing close enough to those monster zits. Otherwise, the strategy is much the same: Defeat the little morays at the bottom to take down the barrier, then get Sonic up there and attack the Dark Moray directly. It helps to freeze these guys in both versions. Hwoever, the fact that Dark Moray is invincible in every place but a green lump you haven't popped yet means the one above its head can't be accessed until you've attacked the other two. It's unreachable otherwise. But when Dark Moray's health is close to gone, it'll do an attack where it slams itself down on the platform. You must pick up a canister (of which I presume is liquid nitrogen) and freeze Dark Moray before it gets back up. This can be pretty tricky.
