'America Is NOT Broke': Michael Moore Speaks in Madison, WI -- March 5, 2011
(Video by Riley Moore) "Contrary to what those in power would like you to believe so that you'll give up your pension, cut your wages, and settle for the life your great-grandparents had, America is not broke. Not by a long shot. The country is awash in wealth and cash. It's just that it's not in your hands. It has been transferred, in the greatest heist in history, from the workers and consumers to the banks and the portfolios of the uber-rich." -- Michael Moore How they did it, and how Wisconsin taught us to fight back, at: www.michaelmoore.com
Christy Moore - Black Is The Colour
Black is the colour of my true love's hair, Her lips are like some roses fair, She's the sweetest smile, And the gentlest hands, I love the ground, Whereon she stands. I love my love and well she knows, I love the ground, whereon she goes, I wish the day, it soon would come, When she & I could be as one. Black is the colour of my true love's hair, Her lips are like some roses fair, She's the sweetest smile, And the gentlest hands, I love the ground, Whereon she stands. I go to the Clyde and I mourn and weep, For satisfied, I ne'er can be, I write her a letter, just a few short lines, And suffer death, a thousand times. (Guitar) Black is the colour of my true love's hair, Her lips are like some roses fair, She's the sweetest smile, And the gentlest hands, I love the ground, Whereon she stands. Traditional ballad (Scotland) This version - Christy Moore Key : Am Chords : (Am), F, G, Am, F, G, E, F, G, E, F, G, Am (gd/naas)

Gary Moore - Where Are You Now (from "Live at Montreux 2010" Blu-Ray/DVD/CD)
www.eagle-rock.com 2010 saw Gary Moore make a return to rock music after a long period of time exploring the blues. He was writing and working on a new rock album when all was brought to a halt by his untimely death on 6 February 2011. This concert from Montreux in July 2010 was his last performance to be filmed. The setlist draws heavily on his hugely successful rock albums of the eighties, stirs in a couple of his classic blues tracks with some memorable hit singles and includes three brand new songs that would have featured on the album left sadly uncompleted on his death. Gary Moore was one of the finest and most respected guitarists the British Isles have ever produced. This concert shows just what a talent we will miss. Tracklisting: 1) Over The Hills And Far Away 2) Thunder Rising 3) Military Man 4) Days Of Heroes 5) Where Are You Now? 6) So Far away / Empty Rooms 7) Oh Wild One 8) Blood Of Emeralds 9) Out In The Fields 10) Still Got The Blues 11) Walking By Myself 12) Johnny Boy 13) Parisienne Walkways Bonus Features Four previously unreleased tracks from Gary Moore's 1997 performance at Montreux: 1) One Good Reason 2) Oh Pretty Woman 3) Still Got The Blues 4) Walking By Myself

Alan Moore Recites "Mr. A" Chorus
Famed comics creator Alan Moore recites the main chorus from a song his former band, The Emperors of Ice Cream, created entitled "Mr. A.", inspired by the Objectivist comics super hero of the same name created by Steve Ditko. The creation of Moore's memorable Watchmen character Rorschach was heavily influenced by Ditko's Mr. A. This clip was featured on BBC Four's "Jonathan Ross in Search of Steve Ditko" (from 9/17/2007). It's a great documentary delving into Spider-Man co-creator Steve Ditko's reclusive nature, his work's influence on modern comics, and asks why he receives such little credit for his marvelous works. Featuring interviews with Alan Moore, Mark Millar, Neil Gaiman, Stan Lee and more, this documentary is quite entertaining, and I highly recommend seeking it out. For more information on the documentary and Steve Ditko's life, check out these websites: www.bbc.co.uk en.wikipedia.org en.wikipedia.org Enjoy! Chorus Lyrics: He had one room above a thrift store. He had a trunk of books by Ayn Rand. He was short-sighted and reclusive, resisting pleas to take his photograph. He drew a superhero comic. He saw the world in terms of black and white. He said, "A day's work for a day's pay, that is our one and only right." He takes a card and shades one half of it in dark so he can demonstrate to you just what he means. He says, "There's black and there is white, and there is wrong, and there is right, and there is nothing, nothing in between." That's what Mr. A said.
Michael Moore VS Wolf Blitzer - Round II
John posted part one of Michael Moore's interview with CNN's Wolf Blitzer yesterday and there has been a lot of buzz around both the interview and Dr. Sanjay Gupta's "reality check" which aired just before the interview, setting Moore off. CNN aired the second half of the interview today. While the second half of the interview was a bit more subdued, Moore was still passionate in making his points. Blitzer throws out some criticisms and Moore slaps them all down, even claiming that an Iranian news agency is reporting that Moore is going to be traveling to Iran to show his new film. Of course, Moore laughs it off and asks if Fox News was really behind that story. At the end of the interview Moore thanks Wolfie for telling him he liked the movie during the break. MISTY BLUE DOROTHY MOORE
Oh, it's been such a long, long time, Looks like I get you off my mind, Oh, but I can't, Just the thought of you, Turns my whole world, A misty blue. Just the mention of your name, Turns the flicker to a flame, I think of things we used to do, Then my whole world, Turns misty blue. (chorus) I should forget you, Heaven knows I tried, But, when I say, "I'm glad we're through." My heart knows I've lied. (end song repeating verse 1)
Capitalism: A Love Story
Exactly one year and a day after the initial Wall Street bailout, Michael Moore (SICKO, FAHRENHEIT 9/11) looks at the global financial crisis and the US economy during the transition between the incoming Obama Administration and the outgoing Bush Administration. In standard Moore fashion, he mockingly draws attention to the Wall Street and Government decisions that have enabled what he calls "the biggest robbery in the history of this country."

Melba Moore - Falling 1986
Melba Moore's Falling from the 1986 CD "A lot of love" gotta admire that note :) 3:26 Producer - Gene McFadden Written-By - F. Gold , G. McFadden Biography by Craig Lytle There were early signs that Melba Moore would become an entertainer. The most obvious motivation was her mother, Bonnie Davis, who was also a successful singer. Witnessing the success that her mother endured, Moore knew the entertainment industry would not escape her. The world of performing arts was formally introduced to her by way of dance lessons at the age of four. Moore's mother impressed upon her that "if you don't touch people's hearts, it doesn't mean anything." Her stepfather would also become an instrumental figure in the development of her early career. All her siblings were musically inclined. Melba's interest was dance. However, her stepfather insisted that she learn the piano. Against her will, she conceded -- and to her benefit. She gained much admiration for the blues and jazz pianists. Upon graduating from college, she became a music teacher, which she found very fulfilling. Nonetheless, Moore's affinity for the entertainment industry persisted. Her stepfather, also a musician, gave her invaluable advice and guidance. He sensed his stepdaughter's irresistible urge to be in the entertainment industry, so he began to show her the ropes. The results landed Moore jobs singing jingles and background vocals. She hit it big when she joined the cast of the Broadway musical Hair. One day while ...

We write so that all people who feel wronged by the corporate forces of the world can know that we are your allies. As one people, united, we acknowledge the reality: that the future of the human race requires the cooperation of its members; that our system must protect our rights, and upon corruption of that system, it is up to the individuals to protect their own rights, and those of their neighbors; that a democratic government derives its just power from the people, but corporations do not seek consent to extract wealth from the people and the Earth; and that no true democracy is attainable when the process is determined by economic power.
