Foto e video di Molossi arcaici e moderni più foto di Mastini anni '50, '60,'70. Nel primo video Keope a 12 anni compiuti a settembre 2010 cagna figlia di ceppo campano. Negli altri video si vedranno le due tipologie di Molossi Italici, cioè il cane corso di tipo campano (Mastino.n.) che resta quello più purosabgue, è il cane corso di tipo Pugliese,( di capitanata simile al cane da pagliaio) e mezzosangue ibrido di Mastino Abbruzzese e corso verace o "mastino" razza giovane selezionata per scopi multifunzionali da oltre 30 o 40 anni da vecchi pastori, non ancora ben fissata geneticamente, gran bei cani questi pastori molossoidi fuori dalle regole, con quel pizzico di storia contadina, perchè quel tocco che li fa un poco "orsini" ha un suo significato, carismatico in quello sguardo da molosso, è affascinante in quell'anima da pastore. Vogliamo ricordare la transumanza di greggi di pecore, e di mandrie di bovini che dalla capitanata ad arrivare agli Abruzzi a passare ai confini tra il Molise e la Campania in quegli antichi tratturi. Nei pascoli il cane da pecora d'Abruzzo incontrava spesso il Molosso Locale, il cane dei carrettieri il corso o mastino, e così non raramente le cagne nel viaggio di ritorno. Se ne tornavano gravide con quei geni di pastore /molosso, che ancora oggi si possono incontrare in certe linee sia di mastino abruzzese sia in certi cani corso di tipo pugliese (capitanata). The Molossian royal house of Epirus
A consice history of the Molossian royal house of Epirus. The Molossians were a Greek tribe of ancient Epirus. They claimed to be descendents of Molossus, one of the three sons of Neoptolemus, son of Achilles and Hector's wife Andromache. According to Greek mythology, following the sack of Troy, Neoptolemus and his armies settled in Epirus where they joined the local Dorian Greek population and displaced the barbarian tribes to the North. Molossus inherited the kingdom of Epirus after the death of Helenus, son of Priam and Hecuba of Troy, who had married his erstwhile sister-in-law Andromache after Neoptolemus' death. Olympias, the mother of Alexander the Great, was a Molossian princess. The most famous member of the Molossian dynasty was Pyrrhus a cousin of Alexander. The Molossians were also known for their vicious hounds which were used by shepherds to guard their flocks. Pacific Fighters, a World War II flight simulator. I'm in an American, Chance-Vought F4U-1C Corsair, pitched against a Japanese A6M5 Mitsubishi "Zero" type fighter. Level of AI was set to "Ace". Background music consists of two songs. The first is "Molossus" from the Batman Begins Original Motion Picture Soundtrack. Second song is titled "Hanyou" from the Inuyasha soundtrack. No intention to infringe any copyright rules intended. This variant of the F4U-1C Corsair is armed with four 20mm cannons. Yeh gotta love 'em. As I am still new to fighting with this aircraft, please forgive my shabby flying. Still, it's a great plane. I love it more than the Mustang now; it can withstand so much more direct hits than the Mustang, though I must say I'm fortunate enough in this battle not to sustain any. Enjoy :)

Molosser is a type of large, solidly-built dog comprising several breeds, probably all descended from the same root stock. The name derives from Molossia, a subregion of ancient Epirus, ancient Greece, where the large shepherd dog was known as the Molossus. A hound is a type of dog that assists hunters by tracking or chasing the animal being hunted. It can be contrasted with the gun dog, which assists hunters by identifying the location of prey, and with the retriever, which recovers shot quarry.
