He participated in different national and international festivals where he almost always took first place. In his country, he is known as Pasha Parfeny or simply Pasha. Pasha Parfeny was born on May 30th, 1986 in Moldova. Music has always played an important role in his life. Pasha's parents who are both musicians have always supported his musical career. Pasha's mother was a piano teacher at the music school of the city of Orhei. His father was a singer and guitarist. Pasha Parfeny started his musical career at the age of seven, studying classical piano at the music school. In 2002 he entered Tiraspol Music College where he gained a lot of experience as a vocalist. Later on, in 2006, Pasha Parfeny continued his musical studies at the State Academy of Music, Theatre and Fine Arts where he tried himself as a composer. Pasha Parfeny is also known as a former member of the band Sunstroke Project. 2009 the band with Pasha Parfeny as the vocalist participated in the Moldovan Eurovision qualifying contest where they came third with their song No Crime. In late autumn 2010, Pasha's contract expired and he left the band. In 2010, the singer participated in the Moldovan national selection with his song You Should Like and finished second. Moldova 20 years on
August 27 is the 20th Anniversary of Europe's poorest country, Moldova. It's been 20 years since the fall of the Soviet Union, yet Moldova continues to struggle economically generating 30 per cent of its GDP from money sent back by the 25 per cent of the population that has left to work abroad. According to a Ministry of Labour, Social Protection and Family report published in December 2010, for example, about 15000 children are now living in the country without parental care. Despite this dire situation, one hope for job creation now comes from the agriculture sector where investments in small and medium size businesses are starting to pay off.

For twenty years, this ministry has been a part of the lives of thousands of orphans, providing Christmas gifts, warm coats, food, supplies, heating oil, clean water, and so much more. But more importantly, the ministry has shown the love of Christ in tangible ways, through regular visits, encouraging words, gentle hugs, and smiles. As of spring 2011, we not only visit and minister to orphanages, we also own the nation's first Christian orphanage: Providence House. This home is a model that we pray will be replicated across Moldova, Eastern Europe, and around the world.

Video material "Discrimination against Romani Women in Moldova" was developed by the Joint Integrated Local Development Programme, implemented by the Government of the Republic of Moldova with the assistance of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN Women), and the financial support of the Government of Sweden. The video focuses on challenges faced by Romani women, one of the most discriminated, vulnerable and socially excluded groups in Moldova, in their access to services provided at the local level, participation in decision-making as well as possible implications of Decentralization Reform on them.

The reportage was broadcasted on TV Moldova 1 on 7 April 2012 at 19.00 and 21.00 in Romanian, and at 22.00 in Russian. The reportage begins with a short presentation of the project of Spiru Haret High School students from Chisinau. One student said: "It is a special project that teaches us to do great things. During this time I learnt not only what is democracy, but also how to apply it". Another student said: "It was one of the most interesting experiences of my life, which will for sure help me in the future". Robin Gosejohann, project manager, ERSTE Foundation: "The theme of volunteering is very actual and was very interesting for teachers. It is very popular nowadays, this is why we had so many interesting projects". Danica Lacova, VCELI DOM: "Project Snow White and the Seven Volunteers" conducted by students from Chisinau and Bratislava was a very good project, with a major contribution for the society". Nearly 350 students and teachers from 15 countries attended the closing ceremony of aces edition 2011-2012. 5 winning projects were selected from 100 participating schools. Reinhard Eckert, project manager, Interkulturelles Zentrum, talks about the theme of the next edition, "Media literacy", mentioning the online partner finder. The aces network was created in 2006 and is supported by the Ministries of Education of all participant countries. Moldova is one of the 15 countries involved in the projects.
