This is footage that I shot from 1999- 2000 in and around the San Francisco bay area. I wanted to experiment with putting images to music and I've always been moved by this Moby song. The locations are: The Ocean Beach near the Cliff House in San Francisco. The museum under the Cliff House. (no longer there) An abandoned Drive-In movie theater. The San Mateo County Fair. In 2002 I finally sat down and cut this little video together. It's a bit pretentious, I know, but it was fun to do.

Here is the second video for Moby's cover of Mission of Burma's "That's When I Reach for my Revolver". When this video originally aired, MTV demanded that the lyrics be changed. So "That's when I reach for my revolver, that's when it all gets blown away" became "That's when I realize it's over, that's when it all just goes away". All I really did was just drop in the audio track to the album version of the song. Thanks to conradkilroy for uploading the original version I used to edit.

The Beach Soundtrack - Moby
A young American man, Richard (Leonardo DiCaprio), travels to Thailand. During a stay on Khaosan Road in Bangkok, he meets a mysterious man named Daffy (Robert Carlyle), who tells him about a secret beach paradise. Richard then heads for southern Thailand in search of the island. Along the way, he is befriended by a young French couple, Françoise (Virginie Ledoyen) and Étienne (Guillaume Canet), and he shares the secret of the island with them. The three then strike out across the water with inflatable bags and whatever they can carry. They reach the island, where they find a huge marijuana plantation.
