"The point is, if you went to Paris and dug up Debussy and said, 'Excusez-moi Monsieur, are you an impressionist?' he'd probably say 'Merde!' and go back to sleep. It is still prudent to find a place to change your tires in proximity to a high volume air compressor (with a tank) that can give you a good initial "puff" of air to help create a seal. There are some rear tire and rim combinations where it may be difficult to get the tire to begin to hold air with a small output pump, even after bouncing the wheel and/or strapping the circumference to initiate a seal.
