Visit: www.miniatur-wunderland.com Miniatur Wunderland From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Miniatur Wunderland (German for miniature wonderland) is a model railway attraction in Hamburg, Germany and the largest of its kind in the world. As of January 2011, the railway consists of 12000 metres (39370 ft) of track in HO scale, divided into seven sections: Harz, the fictitious city of Knuffingen, the Alps and Austria, Hamburg, America, Scandinavia, and Switzerland. Of the 6400 square metres (68889 sq ft) of floorspace, the model takes 1150 m2 (12378 sq ft). By 2020, the exhibit is expected to have reached its final construction phase, including at least a total of ten sections in a model area of over 2300 m2 (24757 sq ft). The next section covering an airport opened in May 2011. The exhibit includes 890 trains made up of over 11000 carriages, 300000 lights, 215000 trees, and 200000 human figurines. The creators are planning to work on models of Italy and France after the airport section is completed. Possible future additions include Africa, England, or a futuristic landscape.

I visited Miniatur Wunderland in Hamburg, Germany and was amazed by the wondrous heights of tiny awesomeness achieved on such an enormous scale. Multiple rooms held thousands of square feet of intricate scale models of cities, mountains, buildings, trains, cars, people, flora and fauna. This is a tribute video to this amazing place. Miniatur Wunderland Hamburg Modelleisenbahn
Die Modelleisenbahn Miniatur Wunderland in Hamburg ist die größte weltweit. Die Modellbahnanlage mit einer Fläche von derzeit 1.300 Quadratmetern und einer Gleisanlage von derzeit 13 Kilometern befindet sich in der historischen Speicherstadt der Freien und Hansestadt Hamburg. Diese Videoaufnahmen sind während eines Besuches im September 2011 entstanden. Aufgrund der zahlreichen Details und liebevollen Gestaltung der Modellbahn ist es definitiv nicht mehr möglich, alles zu sehen oder alles zu filmen. Eigentlich müßte man sich eine ganze Woche Zeit nehmen, um die Modellanlage komplett zu erleben. Die Anlage besteht derzeit aus den Abschnitten Harz, Knuffingen, Österreich, Schweiz, Hamburg, Amerika, Skandinavien sowie aus dem Airport Knuffingen. Davon konnten jedoch nicht alle Landschaften gefilmt werden. Kritisch muß man leider die Besuchermassen bezeichnen, die sowohl vormittags als auch nachmittags das Filmen, Fotografieren und Zuschauen sehr einschränken. Die eigentliche Eisenbahn tritt fast schon in den Hintergrund, da das Miniatur Wunderland mit unzählig vielen Attraktionen aufwartet, ua mit den von Geisterhand fahrenden Modellautos, mit den Tag- und Nachtphasen, mit dem Abschnitt Skandinavien und dem Hafen mit Schiffen etc. Mehr Modelleisenbahn gibt es unter www.pennula.de

Baukosten des 125-Quadratmeter großen Nachbaus: 3,5 Millionen Euro. Im Miniatur Wunderland ist auch eine der größten Miniatur-Eisenbahn-Anlagen der Welt zu bestaunen.
