The 2.9 pound kit consists of 50 feet of 7.5mm Technora heat- and cut-resistant line with a captive EASHOOK 'biner on the anchor end and the tactical EXO self-braking belay device on the other. The kit can live unnoticed on the back of your armor package, unnoticed in its own pouch until needed. When needed, snap one end to an anchor point and the other to your assault harness, and its Batman time. Drop over the edge with one finger holding the lowering bar. Let go and you stop, letting you bring your attention to your weapon, teammate or target. The location was Langemarck German Military Cemetery in Belgian Flanders Fields, the occasion the 100 km March around Ypres week end. Peace reigned over the assembled audience remembering and paying their solemn respects to more than 44 000 German and 2 British WW I soldiers resting at this cemetery. Later that day, the Germans, the Brits and the locals merrily fraternized till the wee hours of the morning in the famous Fabienne's Klein Rijsel Café in Ypres! The MkIV Martini Henry started out life as a Martini-Enfield. Mark IV rifles presented quite a few external changes to the other models. The changes came whilst the the British were experimenting with the .402 calibre Enfield-Martinis. Large numbers of Enfield-Martinis had been produced at a time when the .303 Lee-Metford was just about to be issued and the .455 Martini was still in wide service. Thus most of the Enfield-Martinis were converted to Martini-Henrys to ease logistical problems.
