Messianic Prophecies. Randall Niles shares 40 prophecies of a coming Messiah in the Jewish scriptures (Old Testament). THE LIFE OF JESUS (The story of Jesus Christ as told in Old Testament prophecy with scripture references) The Messiah preexists time (Gen. 1:1). He is the eternal Redeemer that will come to earth to reconcile mankind with God (Job 19:25-26). Although Satan will try to attack Him, the Messiah will have ultimate victory (Gen. 3:15). One day He will rule over everything and all nations will bow down to Him (Is 45:23, Ps 22). The Messiah will descend from Shem (Gen 9 10), Abraham (Gen 22:18), Isaac (Gen 26:4), Jacob (Gen 28:14), Judah (Gen 49:10), Jesse (Is 11:1--5) and David (2 Sam 7:11--16). He will be born in the city of Bethlehem in the county of Ephrathah (Mic 5:2) when a bright star appears (Num 24:17). It will be a miraculous, virgin birth (Is 7:14). The Messiah will be unique, having preexisted His birth (Mic 5:2). He will perform many miracles: calming the sea (Ps 107:29), causing the blind to see, the deaf to hear, the lame to walk, and the mute to talk (Is 35:4--6). He will be referred to in many ways, including: God With Us (Is 7:14), Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, and Prince of Peace (Is 9:6). He will be a great teacher and will use parables (Ps 78:2). But the Messiah will come to save mankind (Is 53:3-9). Haggadahs, one for each person, OR (as we prefer) Bibles, one for each person, with at least 1 Seder list (given in step 3) for whomever leads the Passover Seder. 2. Optional 2 candles or oil lamps to be used as Festival/Shabbat candles 5. Wine (or Grape Juice) & Glasses, 1 for each participant (wine will be poured 4 times each) + 1 extra for "Elijah" (wine will be added once) 6. Matzot, (a stack of at least 3 Pieces of Matzah or Unleavened Bread) wrapped in a cloth for the Seder and sometimes places on a platter/plate, and for larger groups more matzot would be needed and placed nearby. (Matzah is one, and matzot is plural for more than once piece of matzah). 7. Salt Water in a small dish 8. "Seder Plate" (any clean plate can be used) on which the following is placed: vi. What is Messianic Judaism?
www.Torahlife.tv Today I answer a question two people asked me this week, what is messianic Judaism? Messianic Judaism is a movement of Jewish people who believe that Yeshua (Jesus' original name in Hebrew) is the Messiah of Israel and the Savior of the world. Yeshua is the most Jewish of Jews. Yeshua was a descendant of both Abraham and King David, was raised in a Jewish home and went to synagogue. He perfectly kept the entire Torah (see Galatians 4 He taught that He came to fulfill, not set aside, the Torah (see Matthew 5:17-19). He was a rabbi who performed unparalleled miracles, bringing great blessing to the nation of Israel. All His early disciples also lived very Jewish lives. The Messianic movement was entirely Jewish at its inception, and continued to exist as an authentic Jewish movement for 700 years after Yeshua's death and resurrection.
