www.casaleggioassociati.it Subtitles also available in: Español: www.youtube.com 日本語: www.youtube.com Man is God. He is everywhere, he is anybody, he knows everything. This is the Prometeus new world. All started with the Media Revolution, with Internet, at the end of the last century. Everything related to the old media vanished: Gutenberg, the copyright, the radio, the television, the publicity. The old world reacts: more restrictions for the copyright, new laws against non authorized copies. Napster, the music peer to peer company is sued. At the same time, free internet radio appears; TIVO, the internet television, allows to avoid publicity; the Wall Street Journal goes on line; Google launches Google news. Millions of people read daily the biggest on line newspaper. Ohmynews written by thousands of journalists; Flickr becomes the biggest repository in the history of photos, YouTube for movies. The power of the masses. A new figure emerges: the prosumer, a producer and a consumer of information. Anyone can be a prosumer. The news channels become available on Internet. The blogs become more influential than the old media. The newspapers are released for free. Wikipedia is the most complete encyclopedia ever. In 2007 Life magazine closes. The NYT sells its television and declares that the future is digital. BBC follows. In the main cities of the world people are connected for free. At the corners of the streets totems print pages from blogs and digital magazines. The ...

Faking It: How the Media Manipulates the World into War
SOURCES AND TRANSCRIPT: www.corbettreport.com As the US and Iranian governments escalate tensions in the already volatile Straits of Hormuz, and China and Russia begin openly questioning Washington's interference in their internal politics, the world remains on a knife-edge of military tension. Far from being a dispassionate observer of these developments, however, the media has in fact been central to increasing those tensions and preparing the public to expect a military confrontation. But as the online media rises to displace the traditional forms by which the public forms its understanding of the world, many are now beginning to see first hand how the media lies the public into war. Learn more about the media manipulations behind the beginning of war in this week's GRTV backgrounder.

Why Nobody Trusts the Mainstream Media
Do you have faith that your news provider is reporting the truth? Always covering every side of the story? Never biased? Is your mainstream media source run by individuals with absolutely no conflict of interest? Who owns the company, that owns the company, that owns the TV or radio station? Is there a group of people who dominate the supply of information? Do you think you will hear the truth about their ambitions and activities? If the channel boss tells his reporter to spin a story in a certain direction, which do you think the reporter values more; his income necessary to live, or the unvarnished truth? There is a Russian proverb: Где дéньги говоря́т, там прáвда молчи́т. "Where money talks, the truth is silent."

This Week In Social Media - Simon Mainwaring on This Week in Social Media--Live Pilot
0:00-1:00 We're here today on the This Week in Social Media pilot episode! 1:00-1:45 My guest today is Simon Mainwaring of We First (wefirstbranding.com). 1:45-3:00 Tell us about your recent work with charitable organizations and how that shifted your thoughts on branding, Simon. 3:00-4:00 So far big businesses haven't done spectacularly well, have they? Are there any examples of companies really doing a great job in social media? 4:45-9:00 Are there any examples of companies who were lagging behind and are now struggling to catch up? 9:00-10:30 So if you attempt to control the conversation too much, you're inevitably going to get backlash, right? 10:30-12:30 When you say the company needs to become human, you mean that there's no single individual behind the brand? Is that a big shift for some companies? 12:30-13:30 It's interesting that companies are now hiring Chief Listening Officers, just to make sure the customers are being heard. 13:30-17:45 You bring up the notion of trust a lot in your book. I think this stems from a brand's desire to over-control the message. What are your thoughts? 17:45-19:30 So one message to brands is that you have to participate or your voice will be lost, right? 19:30-20:15 We're taking a look at the top trends on Twitter this week--the Jersey Shore, Justin Bieber and Harry Potter all made the list. 20:15-21:15 How does a big brand work itself into these conversations? 21:15-23:30 Simon talks about how Mountain Dew crowd-sourced the ...

Jerusalem: The Media Myth of Two Cities
The history of Jerusalem did not start in 1967. Thousands of years of Jewish history took place in what is now called "Arab East Jerusalem." Media War - Iraq
Aug 2003 Disturbing new evidence suggests the CIA fed faulty intelligence to handpicked journalists to win support for the war against Iraq. The defection of Iraqi engineer Adnan al Haideri in 2001 was a massive coup for the White House. "He was probably the single most significant defector who came out of Iraq," states an INC spokesman. Al Haideri claimed to have been hired by Saddam Hussein to build facilities for testing WMD. His story was widely circulated and used to justify the war. Unfortunately, it now appears that his remarkable testimony was a lie. Not one of the hundreds of bunkers detailed by him has been found. "Al Haideri's evidence is a perfect example of the kind of garbage that was disseminated by Ahmed Chalabi," states former weapons inspector Scott Ritter. New information has also emerged about the way Al Haideri's story was leaked to the media. "They misled us," states Ritter "Thousands of innocent Iraqis perished in a war that didn't need to be fought." Produced by SBS/Dateline Distributed by Journeyman Pictures

Download this and any other youtube or google video quickly and easily using the FREE player from www.realplayer.com DON'T JUST WATCH THIS, DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT! Show all your friends and family and ESPECIALLY PEOPLE IN POSITIONS OF POWER! TAKE ACTION. Most Americans HAVE NO CLUE that the Federal Reserve is a PRIVATE, FOR PROFIT CORPORATION! DON'T BELIEVE ME, LOOK IT UP FOR YOURSELF AND DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT! Americans have been scammed for TRILLIONS FROM THE FEDERAL RESERVE by charging us interest to print "money," when our government USED TO PRINT MONEY FOR FREE WITHOUT CHARGING US INTEREST! JFK, Ron Paul, Woodrow Wilson, Milton Friedman, Ronald Reagan, and many others have spoken against the horrible Federal Reserve system we now have which is unnecessary because our government can print the money without paying interest to the private for profit Federal Reserve. While our government can print money for free, the people who own the private Federal Reserve have made trillions off of creating the US money. They loan money to the US government at interest, when our government could print it without them for free. JFK tried to get rid of the Federal Reserve by printing United States Notes because he realized that if private super rich bankers own the Federal Reserve and they loan money to the government, they essentially own the government. The Federal Reserve is the MAJOR reason why this country has declined financially! The ...

Discovery: how media lies documentary film - CNN FOX NEWS channel distorted contents
This eye opening long documentary film elaborates on the discovery of American media lies by comparing how news are delivered to the US population and to other countries around the world. The film provides a striking comparison of US and international media coverage of the crisis in the ME zeroing in on how structural distortions in US coverage have reinforced false perceptions of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict for example. This pivotal documentary exposes how the foreign policy interests of American political elites--oil, and a need to have a secure military base in the region, among others--work in combination with lsraeIi public relations strategies to exercise a powerful influence over how news from the region is reported. Through the voices of scholars, media critics, peace activists, religious figures, and Middle East experts, the documentary carefully analyzes and explains how--through the use of language, framing and context--the lsraeIi occupation of the West Bank and Gaza remains hidden in the news media, and lsraeIi colonization of the occupied terrorities appears to be a defensive move rather than an offensive one. The documentary also explores the ways that US journalists, for reasons ranging from intimidation to a lack of thorough investigation, have become complicit in carrying out lsraeI's PR campaign. At its core, the documentary raises questions about the ethics and role of journalism, and the relationship between media and politics.
