A tribute to my favorite of all television couples. I know it's been done to the movies, but I don't acknowledge that said movies exist. (You can't film The Addams Family in color. It's just wrong!) Call me a purist, but I grew up on the show and its innocent quirkiness drew me in. I'm just not fond of the darker, hard-edged new versions. Gomez and Morticia, the perfect couple. This video took a long long time to make and I actually finished it yesterday but there where problems once I uploaded it so I had to take it down again. Anyways this'll hopefully be second time lucky. This is the first video I've made since the season finale which I thought was incredible! MY THOUGHTS: I loved the return of Katherine and the way the writers made us think for a while that it was still Elena. I was quite upset that Damon didn't kiss the real Elena but as I was watching that scene (although unlike some smart people, I didn't cotton on that it was Katherine) I knew that something was not right and felt a little uncomfortable. The way Katherine killed John was horrible and I kinda liked him in a strange sort of way. Even though he has done things wrong, he did them because he believed that all Vampire's were evil. I was devastated, like many, at the death of Anna. She was one of my favourite characters and I don't like the fact that they've killed another female character on the show, and I know there are others that agree with me. I am really hoping that the writers will bring her back to the show somehow. The acting on all the cast's part was excellent and I can't wait for season two now! On January the 21 in the year 1960 a recording session took place in the RCA/VICTOR Studio in New York City, New York. Richard Hayman counducted a small Orchestra (witch he must have found different, considering his usual band was the great Boston Pops) in 4 songs written AND composed by that brilliant genius that is Tom Lehrer. Tom Lehrer himself is singing, but this time he is singing with his hands in his pockets! No need for a piano with a full orchestra behind you! Like earlier mentioned everything is written by Tom Lehrer himself! Except for the orchestral arrangements of the songs witch are written by the conducter Richard Hayman. The 2 songs you will listen to in this video, are digital remastered versions of the same songs that are on the CAPRICORN 45 single Record that you see in the video. The 45 single was released in 1960. The songs are taken from the "Dr.Demento 20TH Aniversary Album". Released on RHINO Records in 1991. I have uploaded the songs in the order that they originally appeared on the CAPRICORN 45 single that was released in 1960. The order on the single was: SIDE A: "Poisoning Pigeons In The Park" 0:00-2:10 SIDE B: "The Masochism Tango" 2:10-5:06 The other two songs never came out on record in an original form.
