I have acquired some old Soviet gas masks, sent over from Berlin. They are absolutely nightmarish, as you can see from this photo. The Soviets weren't happy with simply making them functional, they made them look like something from depths of hell as well. What to do with these wonderful things? Hello sexy dumplings! So here is a fun DIY mask using chocolate! I missed doing DIY videos! Smells yummy but works great. This Summer, we can treat ourselves with chocolate....without the calories! Cocoa is high in anti-oxidants which help the skin to fight against free radicals. There are a few 'Chocolate' skincare products in the market but they are quite hard to find. Why not make your own mask and treat yourself? I love making my own masks because it's so much fun and gives great results but remember that results don't happen over night. You must be consistent and patient. I reckon it would be fun to make this for sleep over parties too. Why not? Give it a go! To complete this How-To you will need: An old tablecloth A work smock A clean, empty plastic gal. jug, labels removed Strong scissors A craft knife An elastic band Newspaper White computer paper Unbleached flour or glue Acrylic paint Decorations Step 1: Protect table and clothes Cover your workspace with an old tablecloth or sheets of newspaper, and wear something to protect your clothes, like a smock. Step 2: Cut the jug With strong scissors, cut the plastic jug in half lengthwise. Turn the jug upside-down: The handle will serve as the mask's nose. Cut holes for your eyes and mouth with a craft knife. Cut a small hole on each side of the mask, at ear level, for an elastic band. Step 3: Make paper strips Tear newspaper and white computer paper into strips about one inch by six inches. Shredding the paper by hand works better than cutting it. You'll need enough pieces to cover your mask with three layers of newspaper and one layer of computer paper, plus some extra paper for molding facial features. This is a hair mask that I tried and I got to say it has made difference to my hair. It feels softer and shinier!!!!! I have yet to try a different recipe for dandruff conditions but for now I have to share this avocado hair mask with you all. The hair mask smells amazing and gives wonderful results. I can't believe it never occured me to use hair masks on my hair until now. Im always a firm believer of natural remedies so I took it up a notch. You will only need 1 half of an avocado for the hair mask and for the other half; simply mash it up (mix honey, yogurt etc) and apply it as a soothing face mask. Avocado is rich in beneficial oils good for our skin, body and health which is why some cultures call the fruit 'Green Gold'. Its not only delicious as a healthy treat but also to our hair and skin. The mask has enough for 2 applications. I highly reccomend you guys to experiment in your own time and find the ingredients that suit you. Taste: It tastes very earthy, nutty and smooth. It's not bitter like green tea is. You can always add honey to it or even brown sugar to sweeten it up (even though I don't do it). Masks have always been a central feature of the Venetian carnival; traditionally people were allowed to wear them between the festival of Santo Stefano (St. Stephen's Day, December 26) at the start of the carnival season and midnight of Shrove Tuesday. They have always been around Venice. As masks were also allowed during Ascension and from October 5 to Christmas, people could spend a large proportion of the year in disguise [1]. Maskmakers (mascherari) enjoyed a special position in society, with their own laws and their own guild.
