I created the Multitouch Mini to show people how something that seems complicated or 'magical' can be made simply and at low cost. -How's it Work?- -------------------------------------- When you place your fingers on the surface, shadows are created where your fingers are placed. The webcam sees these shadows and sends the image to the tracking software which tracks the shadows as they move on the touch surface (paper). All you need is a room with (at least) some light; a dark room will not work. Even room lighting gives the best results. How to Make a Paper Crossbow
I noticed that there was no decent tutorial out there for making a paper crossbow that didn't utilize rubber bands. This is what I came up with as a result. The crossbow is actually quite durable in design and should stand up to use for for a very long time so long as it doesn't get wet. Hopefully a good deal of office boredom can be solved with this. The working mechanism for this crossbow is in the arms made of rolled paper and supported by tape. Typically a bent tube of rolled paper would tear when bent, but a layer of tape seems to distribute the load evenly enough to not only prevent the paper from tearing, but also give it a strong and fast spring action when released. This allows for a rigid bow string to be used which utilizes the energy in the arms to propel the projectile - Rather than most toy crossbows which use rigid arms and an elastic band which propels the bolt more like a slingshot than a crossbow. This crossbow can throw a pencil or pen a good 100 feet. A possible modification for even more power might be to make two arms on each side that the bow string would tie together at the tips. Having double arms is about the only way to go about adding more power because adding much more paper to the first set will only result in them tearing or being completely rigid. How To Make a 100ft Glow Stick!!!
How to make a 100 ft glow stick. Brighter than Electroluminescent wire and self-powered. This can be used to decorate, glow stuff up, or create all kinds of awesome effects. Warning: TCPO is carcinogenic and you should wear gloves and masks while working with it. The procedure is simple, mix together 500mg of 9,10-bis(phenylethynyl)anthracene and 17g of TCPO in 500mL of diethyl phthalate solvent and heat it up until it dissolves. Then top it up to about 2.1 liters and add 120mL of hydrogen peroxide and 10g of sodium acetate. Shake thoroughly and draw into a 100 ft glow stick with an inner diameter of 3/8". Suction by a vacuum pump is recommended. To prevent spilling the ends should be capped with brass or plastic compression fittings. Leave 5+ feet of space in the tube to allow for expansion of the chemicals depending on temperature. Glow stick will last for about 6 hours. Use more TCPO if a longer glow is needed. Possibly the world's biggest glow stick.

Jack Scalfani shows you how to do homemade beef jerky. PLEASE SUBSCRIBE TO THIS CHANNEL. IT'S FREE. Here is the recipe for the marinade that Jack used. Ingredients: 1 1/2 to 2 pounds flank steak 2/3 cup Worcestershire sauce 2/3 cup soy sauce 1 tablespoon honey 2 teaspoons freshly ground black pepper 2 teaspoons onion powder 1 teaspoon liquid smoke 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (add more to make hotter) Special Equipment: 1 box fan, 2 paper air-conditioning filters, and 2 bungee cords or shipping tape Basically what you want to do is trim the meat of any fat. Then stick it in the freezer for about an hour or two until it's firm. You don't want it completely frozen, but this helps with the slicing. Cut long, thin strips WITH the grain. I know this is counterintuitive, but this is what you want to do for good jerky; we're not making steaks here. ;-) Mix all of the marinade ingredients together in a large zip-lock baggy, and drop in your meat. Ensure all the pieces are coated, and throw it in the refrigerator for about 6 hours. When 6 hours is up, remove the meat, pat the pieces dry and grab your filters. Lay the strips out in the grooves of the filter. Cover with the other filter, and bungee or tape the stack to your (preferable square) box fan. Turn the fan on high, and let it blow over the meat for 12 hours. After 12 hours is up, it's time to enjoy some delicious, delicious home made jerky.

This makeup tutorial explains you how to imitate the look of a bjd short for ball jointed doll, dollfie doll, or asian doll as they are sometimes called. An Inspiration to create this makeup was a doll itself, that some nice people at Hyper Japan gave me to pose for a photo. Tadaaaaa! Now, Let's Start! Use moisturiser to create a base that makes your skin look smooth like porcelain. Press the moisturiser with lifting strokes into your skin. Be gentle with your skin, the facial skin is the most sensitive, so make sure your hands and face are clean so you don't transfer bacteria into your pores and avoid breakouts. When the cream is absorbed, apply a second layer. Wait until the second one is absorbed by your skin too, and apply the third and last layer. Applying more than one layer of moisturiser is more effective. This part is optional, but listen: Before we start applying any makeup, insert circle lenses. It's wrong inserting them after the makeup is done, as you risk that powder could come in touch with your lens, and you'd end up with a bad eye infection. Or, of course, your eye makeup and mascara would risk getting messed up. Use a pink or peach toned concealer, 1 shade lighter than your natural skin tone to create an even, and flawless base shade. No tape or anything else is required. I also explain at the end the way we must position the boomerang in order to throw it properly. If it falls to the ground check to see if: 1) It's upside down, refer to 12:40 for the proper way to position it before throwing--it does matter. 2) You may be angling it too far down, which can cause it to not come back all the way--try angling it upwards at an angle. 3) It's made the correct way and looks just like mine. How to make the princess cake instructions (some may say this is similar to a Bratz or Barbie birthday cake) Assembling the princess birthday cake: 1. Bake three cakes in 8-inch round cake pans and one cake in a medium ovenproof glass bowl. Let cakes cool. 2. Cut off the dome off all of the 8-inch round cakes with a serrated knife. (Freezing the cake for about 45 minutes before you cut them will reduce the crumbs). 3. Cut a small hole in the middle of each layer; this is where the princes doll will go. 4. To keep your decorating surface clean while you frost, slide pieces of parchment paper underneath the bottom layer. 5. Using your offset spatula, place a dollop of frosting on one of the layers of cake, and spread it evenly. Place another layer on top, frost it, and place the last layer on top. Frost the top of the last 8-inch round cake and top with the cake baked in the overproof glass bowl (domed side up). 6. Make a crumb coat. This is a thin layer of frosting that seals in the crumbs and keeps the frosting clean and neat. Spread the frosting over the entire surface of the cake. To make the frosting smooth, take a strip of paper, cup it and place it at the bottom of the cake, sliding it evenly to the top of the cake. 7.
