Mega Man 3 - Magnet Man's Stage
I mentioned in yesterday's video description that I would be doing my favourite Mega Man game next, thus, here we go with Mega Man 3! I decided to try for a little extra spin to go along with this playthrough... My intention is to get through the 8 Robot Master stages without taking any damage. I am not going for a "Perfect" run as the DocRobots in the second run of the stages cheat by being fat... *grumbles* Anyways... first up is Magnet Man... who is probably the robot master a lot of people start off with. If not him, then Top Man... one of the two. His stage is pretty simple, but the fact that it has the disappearing blocks of terror and destruction is one reason why I feel some people would prefer to start with Top Man so following the weakness pattern leads to getting to Magnet Man's stage while having Rush Jet, but eh, the blocks section is easy this time around. Other than that, Magnet Man's stage has... magnets. Is that a surprise? Probably not... Speed runners are probably a fan of the magnets in the first room though, as if you line yourself up right, the magnet can do all the work for you, hehe~ Magnet Man himself is pretty easy. His pattern makes it so he will never reach the far end of either side of the room, so you are mostly safe in the corners. If you stand directly under him while he is firing off his magnet missiles, they will fly away harmlessly off the screen, making him even more sad. "Getting Nowhere" Magnetic Man Cover - Josie Charlwood (Using BOSS RC-30)
This is my live cover of Getting Nowhere, by Magnetic Man feat. John Legend. The video was recorded in one take using two cameras. On the righthand side of the screen you can see my footwork throughout the video. The equipment I've used to create the sounds is as follows: BOSS RC-30 Loopstation -- Used to create all the loops, which I play in live as you can see. This has two channels which I switch between using the BOSS FS-6 Dual footswitch. CME UF80 -- This is the MIDI Controller (keyboard if you like) which I use to play in all the sounds. I get these sounds from the Roland XV-5050 synth. Sonar X1 -- The music Software I use (which you can see running on the computer behind me), here I switch between sounds before playing in the loops. TC-Helicon VoiceLive 2 -- This is the vocal processing unit I use in the performance. It allows me to put live harmonies and FX on my vocals when singing and/or looping. VoiceLive 2 also acts as a really nice compressor and I use it throughout this performance. Shure SM58A BETA -- The Microphone I'm using. Live cover using BOSS RC-30, TC Helicon MP-75 and TC Helicon VoiceLive 2. This is a live video, recorded in one take, of me performing my cover of "I Need Air" -- Magnetic Man (feat. Angela Hunte).
