A Magazine Is Born - the making of Little White Lies
**View the digital edition of The Black Swan Issue featured in this video online now for FREE** www.littlewhitelies.co.uk We wanted to make a short film that captured some of the love, care and hand-crafted passion that goes into the making of an issue of LWLies. We produce six issues each year, and for the two month period that we're working on a particular issue, we totally immerse ourselves in the movie and in the production process. While we obviously embrace digital in all forms, first and foremost we're makers of honest, tangible and fine-smelling objects, and we hope that comes across in some way here. We filmed this ourselves over the course of November/December 2010, and the film was edited for us by our friends at production company Archer's Mark. Products you need -Rubbing alcohol -Clear coat nail polish -Base coat (any color) -Q-tips -Magazine (cut out pieces) Step by step 1) Cut out pieces from a magazine 2) Color your nails with a base coat (preferably white so that the lettering shows) 3) Once DRY place piece of magazine on nail 4) Take q-tip & dip into alcohol, then rub across surface of magazine 5) Seal with top coat -If you make a mistake, just use rubbing alcohol to remove either from nails or fingers.
