Macworld Boston 1997-Full Version
By request, here is the full version of the 1997 Boston Macworld expo where we see Steve Jobs for the first time since returning to work for Apple after being gone since 1985. This was a very historic time for Apple because they were almost bankrupt at the time, so Steve announces a temporary partnership with Microsoft to a very hostile crowd. Bill Gates also makes an appearance.

Macworld SF 2003 part 1
If you could only ever see one Macworld keynote with Steve Jobs, this would be it. In the final half hour of this Macworld, Mr. Jobs was at the top of his game with the audience completely eating out of his hand. Apple had the technology introductions to back it up too: the world's first 17in widescreen notebook, the first full featured 12in notebook, first ever introduction of 802.11g, first ever backlit keyboard, first introduction of firewire 800. With each introduction the audience goes crazy, and Steve continues to bring them out with perfect salesman timing. This segment begins right after he just got done introducing Keynote for the first time as well, and he gave everyone in the audience a free copy. They were primed. This 3 part video should serve instructionally for anyone who ever aspired to giving a great presentation. No doubt, Steve Jobs is the master at this, and as I said earlier, this may be his greatest Keynote ever. part 2: www.youtube.com part 3: www.youtube.com

Steve Jobs MacWorld WiFi Prophecy - hula hoop magic trick!
thinkingbricks.com This clip was taken from my shaky Sony Hi8 HandyCam recording of the 1999 NYC MacWorld Public/ Keynote address; shot from afar way in the back of the standing-room-only audience (unlike Apple's public version). Shaky camera work aside, this video captures the HISTORIC moment better than any other I've seen - shot from the standing room only crowd soaked in cheers. Steve Jobs wakes the original Tangerine iBook from sleep and innocently demonstrates web surfing using the iBook; unbeknownst to everyone is that he is doing so wirelessly... until he picks up the iBook and continues to surf the internet while walking around the stage! Watch for his enormous grin! Steve Jobs comically demonstrates the wireless capabilities of the original iBook with a HULA HOOP! This was the HISTORIC moment when most of the world was introduced to "wireless" (WiFi) - watch and listen as the sro crowd gets up on their feet and goes wild! Macworld Cover Creation
After working on the latest cover for Macworld Magazine I wanted to show what is involved in making a cover. I focused on the three main areas: the photography, photoshop and design. I chose a time lapse format to convey lots of information in a small amount of time. The only drawback of time lapse is that since half a day goes by in 30 seconds, the whole process seam so easy! Lots of details were left out of the design process (like the cover meetings and rounds of layout options). I began to photograph the design process after the layouts had already been narrowed down to just three cover designs. On the technical side, for the time lapse video, I used the Canon 5D Mark II with a 24mm-70mm zoom. I chose the 5D because of its great image quality with high ISO's. Canon's sRAW1 gave me the flexibility of a RAW file with the file size of a jpeg. The actual Macworld cover was taken with a Phase One P65+ digital back attached to a 4x5 Sinar X camera with a 65mm lens. Many thanks to Rob Schultz for allowing me to invade his office and literally shoot over his shoulder. The music was used with permission by The Brokenmusicbox.
Steve Jobs introduces the "Digital Hub" strategy at Macworld 2001
On January 9, 2001, Steve Jobs gave one of his greatest Macworld keynote presentations. The main topics included the original version of Mac OS X, the original SuperDrive and the original widescreen PowerBook G4. But perhaps the most profound was the introduction of the "Digital Hub" concept in which the Mac would evolve into becoming the center of the digital lifestyle of the 21st century. It has been the subject of much discussion by Steve and his substitutes when talking about the Mac ever since. This definitely the beginning of something huge. iMovie had already been around since 1999 and Steve introduced the original versions of iTunes and iDVD at this keynote. Interesting to note that in the second part of this video Steve refers to iTunes as "iMusic" - perhaps a code name during production? It's amazing that as soon as Steve started on this topic everyone was spellbound and there was no applause from the audience for a good 11-12 minutes, quite possibly the longest gap between applauses in Stevenote history.
