During a track day on circuit Park Zandvoort I recorded four BMW E46 M3 CSL's! At least one of the CSL's has a aftermarket exhaust (don't know which one). You can see some really nice fly by sounds. BMW 1M Coupe vs BMW M3 CSL at Nurburgring (HD)

Which is a nurburgring track day car. CSL has a cage, big brakes, lightweight exhaust and race seats en runs on pilotsport cup tires. The 1M coupe was completely off factory. BMW M3 CSL Airbox Induction Sound
I found this video posted elsewhere and I thought I would share it. It is of a BMW M3 with a CSL carbon fiber airbox. Apparently the microphone was attached to the opening of the airbox as this sound track is not what you hear inside the cabin.

BMW E46 M3 CSL - GranTurismo Spa 2011 1080p HD
A couple of weeks ago I recorded this hardcore sportscar of BMW, the E46 M3 CSL! Still one of the best M3's BMW ever made. The CSL participated in the Gran Turismo Events on circuit Spa Francorchamps, with many other cars like the Ferrari Enzo, RS6 EVOTech, Mansory Cyrus, 997 GT3 RS and many many more! My 2nd session on Michelin Pilot Sport Cups and fresh discs and pads & 3rd time in the car. Excellent weather. The cups took about 1 lap to get up to temperature this time running 32psi hot. It wasn't till last outing of the day I realised the true potential of these tyres.

My 5th session on Michelin Pilot Sport Cups and fresh discs and pads & 3rd time in the car. Excellent weather. The cups are run in and ready for action. It wasn't till last outing of the day I realised the true potential of these tyres. Ran out of space and missed session 6 which involved having a decent couple of laps with the GT3.
