Swedish winter - Frida Lyngstad - Heart of the country
Some photos of the snowy landscape here in the north of Sweden I've taken for the past couple of months, most of them around Christmas. Slideshow of Anni-Frid Lyngstad Reuss (aka Frida), the brunette girl from the Swedish group ABBA and one of the greatest singers of all time. It shows images from 1945, when she was barely a few months old, to present time (2010) with the song "Everyday" by Carly Comando as backing track. In the beginning, more than 1100 images were used, but, as my intention was that the slideshow ended at the same time as the song, I had to reduce them to 950 aprox. I really hope all Frida fans enjoy this video about a wondrous singer and great lady. Thanks

The following was taken from Wikipedia: "In the summer of 1967, Lyngstad won a national talent competition with the song "En Ledig Dag" ("A Free Day" or "A Day Off"). Unbeknownst to Frida, the winner of the contest was also expected to appear the same evening in one of the country's most popular TV shows at that time, Hylands Hörna (Hyland's Corner; Lennart Hyland being the host of the show). This programme was broadcast for two hours, on the very same day that Sweden changed from driving on the left-hand side of the road to the right. For this occasion the show was re-named Hylands Högerhörna (Hyland's Right Corner)."
