War is usually born out of poverty and inequality and is fueled by hateful nationalistic propaganda...this is what allowed Hitler to rise Germany up into a mighty frenzy. The Iraq n Ahganistan wars were based on fear of terrorism but u cant deal lwith terrorist by invading a country as it only fuels terrorsm. The real reason 4 these wars was greed 4 OIL n was driven by big business. 100s of thousands of Uk and people around the world demonstrated against these wars. Many soldiers joined the army to protect their country and to get a job cause they prob couldnt get one. They were lied 2 bt reasons 4 war. Not sayin they are innocent but they went with good intentions as do the people who demonstrate against poppy day. None of us r heroes...just puppets.The ordinary people including the soldiers of Bitain were lied 2 and these soldiers should b brought home. Poppy day in my opinion is not bt glorifying the "heroes" of war...it is about reflecting on everything that is wrong with war. But some do use the day 2 glorify war and twist it 4 their own ...
