Always wondered how your lagguge got lost? Here's one example. Arriving early at the airport we saw a soft case fall off a tram. It fell off around 1:30pm and was only picked up 4 hours later. With so many people and cars passing within inches of it, no one bothered to pick it up or even report it. I made the clip with a sense of humour and tried to squeeze as much as possible in 6 minutes. Enjoy.

This is the first impressions of the room in the Arabella Sheraton of Cape Town, which I thoroughly recommend. KLM managed to lose my luggage in Amsterdam, but here you can see what you get if KLM loses your luggage - a care kit, which I dissect on camera, plus 100 EUR spending money. The way this works is that KLM give you a credit onto your credit card at the airport. They either take your bill, or if you ask them, they just photocopy it and let you keep the original. This enables you also to get your tax back on what you bought, so that instead of getting 100 EUR, you actually get 110 EUR back. All my Turkish trip luggage appears to have been subverted to feed and clothe the Dharma project. Here I try and get some sense out of the system that the airlines have put in place to reunite people with their possessions. This was taken after 6 days, by today it's been 9 days, still no news, and I still have to wait for compensation. Next week I will have to repurchase my entire luggage for the next Turkey long trip, and I still don't qualify for compensation if the luggage is found before the end of the 30 days, as this person says. I'm not blaming him personally, but the system absolutely sticks. And SAS is much less respectful of its clients than KLM was in my case 15 months ago. Please learn from this to take a lot of care as to what you put in your checked baggage. I already took account of that, or the losses would have been much worse, but as it is I've lost well over the maximum compensation allowed by the airlines' cuddly club for self-preservation and passenger abuse. There'll be updates if it arrives and if they give compensation, or not.
