PSX Longplay [001] Metal Gear Solid (part 1 of 2)
www.longplays.net Played By RickyC METAL GEAR! awesome series, not played since forever so i didn't play that good and only on normal. I get the good ending but add the bad ending on at the end. I forgot how good the voice acting is on this! Could not get this emulation right to save my life! thought it be way easier, so there are glitches in this video. I normally solve the glitch later on though. THe worst is the stealth slowdown, the random image during president baker, some other slowdown during the lift. Oh and in some cut scenes the filter screws up i think, so people look blurry for that bit. Shouldnt of used filters but i didnt know much about them when i started the recording. Lastly, i had to run though this a couple of times because of the game crashing and me not using proper saves! So my equipment might change at some point and the end results won't be accurate to what you have seen. By the end i had a million files so i hope i edited them together right and edited out all my save state loading. Couldnt catch any myself though screen goes black for a second after a boss battle when i reset the emulator.
PSX Longplay [037] Resident Evil 3: Nemesis
www.longplays.org Played by Spazbo4 This game was pretty fun to play, and pretty hard, which is why I did it on easy difficulty, sorry but I just completely suck at this game so I had to do easy. At a few cutscenes the audio might get a bit messed up, and what I mean by that is if you notice it then it will sound like a person is about to say something, says it halfway and then stops, its because I am playing it on emulator, which is also why I pause the game a lot because that is where I savestate during the longplay, which is why I did so good. Thanks for watching, I give this game a 9.5/10
PC Longplay [101] Half-Life: Blue Shift
www.longplays.org Played by JonL Half-Life: Blue Shift Developer: Gearbox Software Released: Sierra Entertainment 2001 Source port used: Steam version ** Plot As with Gearbox's previous expansion pack Opposing Force, Blue Shift returns to the setting and events of the original game, but portrays the story through the eyes of another person. The protagonist in Blue Shift is a security guard, Barney Calhoun, employed by the Black Mesa Research Facility. After a scientific mishap causes Black Mesa to be invaded by aliens, Calhoun must fight his way to safety. ** Notes The Steam version is the closest to the original that I could find, although the initial menu is different. The game included a High Definition pack that upgraded the models and textures in both Blue Shift and the preceding Half-Life games. This longplay does not use this pack.

Atari ST Longplay [009] Karateka
www.longplays.org Played By Georgc3 I admit that Tempest 2000 for the Atari Jaguar was originally going to be my next longplay. But I decided to do this instead since no one did a walkthrough of this Game. Just a short demos that's it. So decided to do this game. I have seen someone play this on Apple II at the Boys & Girls Club when I was little. A really good classic side-scrolling beat 'em up game with 1-on-1 elements. This game was originally released for Apple II in 1984. Then ported to Atari 8-bit and NES later the same year and other platforms such as commodore 64, Amstrad CPC, Dos, and other. This is the first time I played the Atari ST Version as I've only played the Dos and NES versions. There are no special moves here. All you have is basic punches and kicks, walk, and run and that's it.I first played on Steem Engine emulator. But somehow, the last level was buggy. It went blank for long periods of time preventing me from reaching the final boss. Then it went to Atari ST desktop screens. So I gave up on Steem emulator. So I used SainT emulator with avi output and it's emulated perfectly with no bugs able to reach the final boss and ending with no problems. I wanted to record this at 60 fps but only let me record up 50 fps so I'm stuck with this. I also made a lot of mistakes so Save States had to be use so they are corrected. If you want to play this game get SainT emulator instead. Use Steem Engine emulator for other games. This game was created by Jordan ...

The download will be available in a few days once the files have been uploaded. This part had 10mins muted to allow the rest to be put on. Plus Im having problems with youtube and having difficulties getting uploads to work. This is a redo of my jet set radio future longplay. Better video quality and shows getting all the graffit souls from the street challanges. Also do a couple test runs after the story mode but since they're all similar I didnt carry on. The video gets slowdown due to it being played on a 360. The video says it has the 720p option but its missing atm.
PSX Longplay [010] Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee (Part 1 of 2)
www.longplays.net Played By Jmchandler / Trapper's Cabin He's skinny. He wears a loincloth. And he carries no weapons. He's the guy you play. Unlock his uncanny powers and you're a hero; don't and you're dinner. Selected by the fickle finger of fate, Abe, floor-waxer first class for RuptureFarms, was catapulted into a life of adventure when he overheard plans by his boss, Molluck the Glukkonª, to turn Abe and his fellow Mudokons into Tasty Treats as part of a last-ditch effort to rescue Molluck's failing meat-packing empire. During his escape from RuptureFarms, Abe received a vision from the mysterious Big Face, showing Abe that he must not only rescue his fellow Mudokons, but also protect all of Oddworld's creatures from the predatory Magog Cartel. After completing arduous Temple trials, and journeying across a wasteland with his faithful Elum, Abe was granted the awesome power of the Shrykull. Returning to RuptureFarms, Abe destroyed the foul slaughterhouse, rescued his buddies, and brought down some righteous lightning on top of Molluck's pointy head. The oddworld games are my favorite. This is the first game in the series. It has a crappy savegame option and it is easy to bypass secret areas that you have already done when you restore. I believe that I have recorded every aspect of the game, and saved all mudokons, even though at the end, it doesn't show them all saved. I used Dazzle and Pinnacle Studio 11 to record and DVD Author Pro to edit them. I then used ...
PC Longplay [008] The Dig
www.longplays.net Played by Ironclaw One of the best EVER retro adventure games. I love everything about The Dig. I didn't skip-to-destination in the game (double clicking to instantly get to a place) as I felt it would ruin the "movie experience". This was a graphical adventure game done by LucasArts in 1995. It was the 11th game using the SCUMM engine. The story started with a giant asteroid that could cause catastrophic damage upon impact on Earth. So, a team of five was tasked to plant nuclear explosives on it. Three of them left the shuttle to do that, but after some exploration they were brought to a distant planet of unknown position. The Dig had the longest development length of all LucasArts adventure games. They worked on it since 1989 but the game wasn't released until 1995. The Dig was first meant to be a movie (so I've heard), but would have been too expensive, so they made it into a game instead. Story and stuff by Steven Spielberg.... ENJOY !

Amiga Longplay [032] Monkey Island 2: LeChuck's Revenge
www.recordedamigagames.org Intro+game+outro.... Really a great game this is. I think it's the funniest game on the Amiga. I more or less rushed through the game skipping 90% of all the funny talking and scenes; like the telephone on a tree in the jungle where you could call LucasArts help line and ask for hints, where babies comes from and stuff.... soooo much fun stuff in this game. So if you like adventure games, you should play this to see all the cool and fun stuff I skipped. The Amiga version is very quiet and kind of stiff. 50% or so of all the music in the PC version didn't make it to the Amiga version... and most of the backs has no animations what so ever... Still a great game though (The music in MI1 is way better too).

Amiga Longplay [373] First Samurai
www.recordedamigagames.org Played By RickyC Never played this game before and at first i didnt really like it. After a while it grew on me a little. Its not my type of game but it totally awesome and probably better than the second as a whole. I found a random boss in the sewer but he kept killing me so i left him thinking i would have to fight him later. But i finished the game and he never came up, so i went back and beat him and found a whole level that i never did. So i added it at the end. Kinda breaks the video up a bit but i didnt feel like redoing all the last few levels again. He was imo the hardest boss in game too and one of the hardest levels in the game also.
Nintendo DS Longplay [023] New Super Mario Bros
www.longplays.org Played by Tsunao An excuse to test DeSmuME's rerecording function and see how it works. I know how to use it...sorta. More like New Super Luigi Bros. :3 Just a basic ol' 100% (aka 3-Stars) playthrough of New Super Mario Bros. as Luigi (there is nothing different in terms of gameplay, unlike Super Mario Bros. 2J). 3-Stars would include completing the game (duh!), getting all Star Coins and spending them (after completing the game), and completing ALL levels, including taking the alternate exits (apparently, Warp Cannon levels count.). I'm not worried about that one little secret block that has that 1-Up or that one secret spot that has that one secret 1-Up or that one spot with that one secret beanstalk that takes me to that one secret spot with that one secret 1-Up. XD Confused? You're welcome. =P Because people don't go to a site called GameFAQs (seriously...): Luigi is played by holding L and R while selecting a file. Please tell me you know what the L and R buttons are. One person I answered didn't know what the L and R buttons were. "=_= Really?" was my only response. Mentally, of course. Worlds 4 and 7 can be accessed by beating the boss in World 2 and World 5 as Mini Mario respectively. You do damage by doing a Mini Pound. Once again, people can't take the hint (even I didn't have to use a FAQ) on how to access these worlds. It is obvious IMO. Alternatively, World 7 can be reached by taking World 4's Warp Cannon. MSX Longplay [004] Starfighters
www.longplays.org Played by Georgc3 Didn't know MSX had a laserdisc player add-on. This game is so interesting when I heard about it.I always thought this game based on the 1984 film The Last Starfighter but it's not especially when I think of the name Starfighter. The purpose of this game is to save the galaxy by destroying Orphe, a threat to the universe. Very good use of 3D animation and graphics for its time. Level 1- This 2D grid like level part is tough and simply didn't enjoy it. It plays too much like chess. To get past this level, you must move your ship (H symbol) to approach the Orphe (O symbol). It's not always at the same place and if it's too far, it can take a long time. I had to reset this game many times until I finally approached Orphe. You must move your ship towards the Orphe to advance to the next level and the weapons selection screen appears. The best way to pass this level is to follow tracks where the enemy ships are coming from. That will get you closer to the Orphe. A name and password appears is provided to you by the game for you to unlock doors. Be sure to write it down since you'll need it to access the mainframe. I reset the game many times after many failed attempts locating the Orphe otherwise it would have taken too long and too boring to watch. Level 2- This one is very easy. All you have to do is to avoid enemy ships coming from the Orphe. It will get harder if you attempt to shoot them down. Level 3 - This one you must locate the core ...

Mr. Gimmick - Annotated NES Longplay (Pt. 1/4)
This is the first of a four-part gameplay video of Gimmick!, a platform game released by SunSoft for the Japanese NES in 1992. A worldwide release of this game (as "Mr. Gimmick") was planned but ultimately canceled, leaving only the original Japanese version and a small release in Scandinavia. Gimmick! was a major accomplishment and a beautiful game, and it's a shame that the game never had its chance to shine. Be sure you keep annotations on! I spent a long time explaining the history and cultural significance of this game, I hope you learn something.

www.longplays.org Played by Jmchandler Machinarium is award-winning independent puzzle / adventure game developed by the makers of popular web-games Samorost and Samorost2. A little robot who's been thrown out to the scrap yard behind the city must return and confront the Black Cap Brotherhood and save his robot-girl friend. World: Machinarium world is populated only by robots... Machinarium is a puzzle point-and-click adventure game developed by Amanita Design. It was released on October 16, 2009 for Microsoft Windows, Mac OS X and Linux. PC and Mac demos were made available on September 30, 2009. It is also being scheduled for a future release for Wii's WiiWare. The goal of Machinarium is to solve a series of puzzles and brain teasers. The puzzles are linked together by an overworld consisting of a traditional "point and click" adventure story. The overworld's most radical departure is that only objects within the player character's reach can be clicked on. Machinarium is notable in that it contains no dialogue, neither spoken nor written. The game instead uses a system of animated thought bubbles. Easter egg back story scenes in the same format can only be revealed by idling in certain areas. (I did not use the walkthrough system....they each have a stupid mini-shooter you must complete in order to open the walkthrough pages): The game employs a two-tier hint system. Once per level, the player can receive a hint, which becomes increasingly vague as the game progresses ...
Amiga Longplay [127] Xenon 2 - Megablast
www.recordedamigagames.org Played By Dhukka Well, here it is, my second recording. I hope you enjoy it. I used WinUAE Autofire Rate 1 (thanks again hipoonios), but even then, the game was still very hard. In levels 1 - 3 I quicksaved at the beginning and at the midlevel shops. In levels 4 and 5 I saved one additional time during the levels. I planned to do a perfect run, but later accepted two losses in the final level, since it got too evil. I also cut out the long loading times bettween the shops and levels, so the video doesn't loose the pace. Technically, there is still the sound problem I already adressed in the forum. Since nobody could give me an advice, I had to live with it. Comments are appreciated.

This game was a pain to emulate. I first played it in the latest version of WinUAE (2.3.1) and sat for like 3 hours trying to get the voices (they are cd tracks) to play properly, but no matter what I did the voices always started like 4 secs after the characters began to talk resulting in missing most of the speech. So I went back to my fav version (2.1.0) and immediately on my first try (running default quick config for CDTV) I got the sound to play tons better, no more 4 sec delay before they start to talk. Everything was still not perfect as most speech cuts off too early at the end and nothing I did could make it play better. So I settled with what I had. PC Longplay [171] Mortal Kombat 4
www.longplays.org Played by Georgc3 Playthrough with Liu Kang. I don't understand why Eino didn't do the PC verseion of MK4 so I decided to do it. I started with all character intro bios at 4:22, gameplay starts at 8:16, game endings at 21:00 and ending credits at 34:36. In my opinion this is the best port of MK4. Better than the PS1 since there's no loading times. The N64 version is also better than the PS1 version since the graphics are much closer to the arcade version. PC is slightly better than the N64 since the controls and setup are better. The graphics in the PC version is better than the PS1 and N64 but not as detailed as the arcade version. Mortal Kombat Gold for the Dreamcast is graphically the best version but still have he scanlines in the cutscene like the PS1 and PC version. The only thing I don't like about the PC version is the cutscenes uses scanlines. Not sure why game developers put it there. In the arcade version, the cutscenes did not have scanlines which is the best version of MK4. The arcade version did not have goro as a sub boss but had Quan Chi instead. I orignally wanted to do a longplay of the arcade version of MK4 in MAME but there are still graphic problems so I had to do the PC version instead. What I do like about the PC version is the music used arcade perfect soundtracks. During the gameplay I had to pause once on each level since the fatality time is too shore and does not give me enough time to do the fatality. However, I did show Liu ...

On the way, though, I try to demonstrate as many things as possible without getting repetitive or wasting too much time. After "finishing" the game, however, I start a new world in creative mode and build a modest sculpture just to demonstrate this very different gameplay. And also when I have my own duck I cut the first few races since they're impossible to win until you level up your duck. Controls are still pretty bad. Amiga Longplay [004] Dark Seed (CD32)
www.recordedamigagames.org (Intro + outro has been included) I got my hands on the CD32 version of Darkseed and decided to record this one aswell. The floppy version of darkseed is about 6 mbs and have some speech in it and the CD32 is about 17 mbs. What's new with this version is that there is much more speech, and some changes has been made; some good, some bad. One odd thing though is that the CD32 version seem to have less colors in some scenes and animations compared to the floppy version... strange. Another thing that look bad in the CD32 version is the "FOR SALE" sign infront of the house in the outro, because in the floppy version it looked great, but in the CD32 version they have replaced the detailed text with HUGE letters "FOR SALE", they havn't even bothered to tilt them for better look. Well, you can see and compare for yourself. Ok, at closer look they have replaced the sign that the text is on aswell, and the sign is not as much tilted as the one in the floppy version, but still, they should tilt the text a bit The CD32 version is of course better :), more speech, some of the old voices has been replaced with new and better ones... except the alien police, his voice in the floppy version was much cooler, also the alien chick on the phone talking about the mirror, her voice was better in the floppy aswell. Also bigger and clearer text now, so they have increased the size of the text box by making the bottom a few pixels smaller to make room for the new font ...

Amiga Longplay [579] Syndicate
www.recordedamigagames.org Played By Eino PC version is superior, but I decided to play this anyways as it belongs among the best Amiga games. It's one of the few games which really impressed me back then, but now it's clear that the missions are too simple and similar. More depth could have been introduced by many different ways. I got this running faster with A1200 config (thanks to Ironclaw for giving a hint before), but it still slows down at some places. I try to avoid scrolling the screen at later levels as the games automatically pauses while scrolling. I didn't persuade new syndicates, but everyone who's played this knows how it's done. They have better mods later in the game. No country went unhappy during this play. If overtaxed while unhappy, it will turn rebellious and the mission needs to be replayed.
