Puss in Boots, is an upcoming computer-animated adventure film being produced by DreamWorks Animation, directed by Chris Miller (who directed Shrek the Third in 2007), executive produced by Guillermo del Toro (Hellboy, Hellboy II: The Golden Army, Blade II, Pan's Labyrinth), starring Antonio Banderas and Salma Hayek, and written by Tom Wheeler. It is set to be released in theaters November 4, 2011 in 3D and IMAX 3D. The film is based on and follows the character of Puss in Boots from Shrek and his adventures before his first appearance in 2004's Shrek 2. The prequel's story centers on the swashbuckling cat and how he comes to meet Shrek and his friends, while introducing new characters as well. The film has been in development since 2004, when Shrek 2 was released. As a Shrek 2 spin-off, it was originally planned for release in 2008 as a direct-to-video film, but this was changed in 2006 in favor of a theatrical release. Production on the film began after the release of 2010's Shrek Forever After. Banderas said in an interview in early 2010 that he had completed the first recordings of his character. Pinetop Perkins -- How Long Blues
July 7, 1913 - March 21, 2011--Pinetop Perkins began playing blues in the late 1920s, and was widely regarded as one of the best -- and certainly most enduring -- blues pianists. He forged a style that influenced three generations of piano players, and continues to be the yardstick by which great blues pianists are measured. Born Willie Perkins in Belzoni, Mississippi in 1913, Pinetop started out playing guitar and piano at house parties and honky-tonks, but dropped the guitar in the 1940s after sustaining a serious injury in his left arm. He worked primarily in the Mississippi Delta throughout the 1930s and '40s, spending three years with Sonny Boy Williamson on the King Biscuit Time radio show on KFFA in Helena, Arkansas. Pinetop also toured extensively with slide guitar player Robert Nighthawk and backed him on an early Chess session. After briefly working with BB King in Memphis, Perkins barnstormed the South with Earl Hooker during the early '50s. The pair completed a session for Sam Phillips' famous Sun Records in 1953. It was at this session that he recorded his version of "Pinetop's Boogie Woogie," a song originally written and recorded by pianist Clarence "Pinetop" Smith -- the influential blues pianist who had died from a gunshot wound at age 24 in 1929. Although referred to as "Pinetop" when he played on King Biscuit in the 40s, it was his sensational version of this song that secured his lifelong nickname. Dio - As Long As It's Not About Love; from the album "Magica" (2000) As long as it's not about love - This is by far my favorite Dio song to date, it's difficult to put into words but I will do my best. The first thing to note is the return of the alien voice, whom in his collectivist brain cannot comprehend the word love. This parallels a very deep held belief in my own personal life. No collective, no government, no society can create love. It is something that can only come by the selfish longing of the individual for the company of one exclusive other. This events of song are both the tragic result of how the demands of all societies destroy love, and also the truth that only love (the selfish love of 2 people) can give the model of peace. This is highlighted by the closing line of the song "If the magic comes between us, and we never meet again, take a part of me away, because maybe it's all about love." On the song itself: the guitar work is very complex, incorporating a barage of arpeggiated chords and blues' like licks. Also 2 very brilliant guitar solos that shred with the best of them. The structure of this song is very original, dancing between a verse part, a chorus part, and a third theme that has nothing to do with the other 2. I also give kudos to Simon Wright for his drum work on this particular song. I will admit to crying during my first listening to this song. There was just too much truth in it for me to handle, and since then I have often had to fight ...

It Won't Be Long" is the opening track on With the Beatles, and was the first original song recorded for the LP Although credited to Lennon/McCartney, it was primarily a John Lennon composition, with Paul McCartney assisting with the lyrics and arrangement. The chorus is a play on the words "be long" and "belong" . The song features early Beatles' trademarks such as call-and-response yeah yeah's and scaling guitar riffs. Typical also of this phase of Beatles song writing is the melodramatic ending (similar to "She Loves You," which had just been recorded and was about to be released) where the music stops, allowing Lennon a brief solo vocal improvisation before the song finishes on a major seventh chord ("She Loves You" ends on a major sixth). There is an unusual middle eight - for what is, essentially, a rock and roll song - that uses chromatically descending chords.
