Loki - "I find it kind of funny, I find it kind of sad"
HD makes difference. Just a character study of Loki, since I love this guy too much. I tried to portray everything about him: the pain of discovering that he's a frost giant, to desire to please his adoptive father, the ( weird) obsession with Thor, everything. Also this is the first time I use a full song to make a video (or almost full, because I took away the instrumentals ant the end and at the begging, as well as some lyrics at the end), Loki deserves that much :) I really hope you enjoy it. With The Avengers opening next weekend in North America, Marvel/Disney recently held a massive press junket in Los Angeles and I was able to interview most of the cast, director Joss Whedon, and Kevin Feige (Marvel Studios President). Every day this week I'll be posting a new video interview from the junket and to start things off I've got Tom Hiddleston (Loki). During the interview, Hiddleston talked about his reaction to reading the script for the first time, how kids react when they see him (he tells a great story about Mark Ruffalo's son), and what he's excited about doing in Thor 2 (which starts filming in London later this year). When Sparta Met Loki
We introduced Sparta and Loki the night we brought Loki home from Petsmart's adoption center in Newbury Park, Ca. First we let them sniff each other under the door for the first few hours. Then we introduced them to each other early because neither one seemed to be aggressive but just to be safe we put a fence between them to keep them from attacking each other. We let then mingle for a few more hours (with supervision). Then Stephanie and I got on opposite sides of the fence to make them feel more comfortable. Once they seemed ok with each other, we let Loki out. Nothing really happened so we didn't think it would be entertaining to show but they didn't fight, growl or even look at each other the wrong way. They just got closer and closer over time. Tom Hiddleston talks about his character in the upcoming Thor sequel, and Clevver Movies has the story. As if efforts to destroy humanity weren't low enough for the bad guy, Hiddleston wants to take the character even lower. He sat down with MTV to discuss the depths of his character and what's in store for him in 'Thor 2'. Hiddleston isn't afraid of taking the character rock bottom. He says, "I'd like to see him yield, essentially, to his darkest instincts. Then, having hit rock bottom, maybe come back up." Hiddleston hopes that the character will go through a full arc of destruction and redemption in the films. If they take a note from the comic books, Loki could even join the good side. Hiddleston states, "I think the fascination for me about playing Loki is that, in the history of the mythology and the comic books and the Scandinavian myths, is he's constantly dancing on this fault line of the dark side and redemption."
