The very idea of collaborating/remixing with Linkin Park to make a song is just amazing. Here is the song, It starts out with the organ that is provided along with the piano and the lyrics. I added a trombone into the background for some filler melody to keep the flow of progression. As Chester Says "Two Symphonies of Blinding Light", I added an orchestra to the melody to symbolize symphonies. Then a piano melody is added along with drums. The song then hits a break at the end of the lyrics. After that, there is a nice and powerful assortment of sounds to flow the song into the synth solo (I know Linkin Park songs don't usually have synthy... type stuff, but I had to add one because I love synth solo's. As the solo starts to hit it off, a guitar power chord beat is added to the background. After the solo finishes, Chester and Mike come back for a second time to kinda keep the beginning alive and in the listeners memory. Then, the song pushes towards the end where the strings take a melody of their own. After all of that, the synth melody and Mike give a smooth ending to the song. I really hope that all of you like this rendition of the song as i enjoyed every second of making it! Thanks again, Chris Zukowski

There was this contest where Linkin Park gave out some samples and then the one who would build the best song using those and their own stuff would be featured in LP's upcoming album. Unfortunately I couldn't take part of the contest as people from Finland were not allowed...but I made a song anyways, and here it is :) So here's my take on the song "The Catalyst". I made this before the winning song came out, so I had no idea what the original song would sound like. Guitars, drums and bass by bliix, everything else by Linkin Park. I want to dedicate this song to my girlfriend Terhi who must be the sweetest person in the world. She has supported me in everything I do. So I want to thank her through this song. I love you!

UPDATE: My remix is now featured on Download to Donate 2.0! You can download the song by going here: www.downloadtodonate.org My submission for the "Linkin Park, Featuring You" mix contest. As usual with my "remixes", I attempted to deviate away from the expected and compose something that did not represent the original song or emulate the band's original sound. Luckily, Linkin Park only released a couple stems from the original, so it made the process a lot easier. For the first time ever, the accompanying video was done in haste considering the importance of this contest is not based on visual but audio. I felt it wasn't necessary to produce a music video so thus, the video simply consists of a few accompanying visual pieces and a quick effect thrown in for good measure. For those interested, I may release the instrumental version at a later date because I really like this composition and wouldn't mind sharing it. On a personal note I want to thank the band for allowing the fans the chance to mix, re-imagine or simply butcher their work for our entertainment. Whether this is considered a winning entry or not doesn't matter; I'm glad to see other artists I enjoy listening to allowing their fans to openly mix and share their work to their heart's content.

I'm quite pleased with how this remix turned out, and I'm even more happy about how I did in the contest, I ended up 42nd out of over 2500 entries! Thank you to everyone who voted for me. For anyone who didn't catch it already, here's the link to my original entry on the contest page: www.indabamusic.com And if you're in one of the countries that can't access the page on Indaba because you weren't eligible for the contest, here's the description I posted on there: "I wanted to do a straight-up rock remix of this song, but I also wanted it to have several "movements," so I started off with a rather melodic section largely based around the original stems, followed by a full-blown rock chorus. The breakdown/guitar solo serves as a bit of a tension builder/"evil" part, before giving way to the melodic section again, re-introduced via a piano/bass duet. The rock chorus repeats in half-time, and the remix concludes with my best attempt at a triumphant ending. This is the result of about 8 days worth of work - 4 days of fighting with my recording interface to get it working on my girlfriend's laptop (GROAN), and 4 days of work on the remix itself." I'll probably put guitar/bass tabs for my remix up sometime soon too.

For the first time since January I have returned with a new video. I had been caught up with school I didnt have much time to be working on new videos, which is very understandable. Keep your priorities and necessities in order. Any who, I have made a new machinima as a special preview for the coming Cataclysm. All Cataclysm pictures and area scenes belong to Blizzard Entertainment. I have learned some new editing tricks I think you may find here in this video, as well as be real impressed with what I have learned. The song is the Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen theme song, Linkin Park - New Divide (Absolutely NO Copyright intended). In this video, you will be able to see places before and after the devastation.
