Cruise liner runs aground off Italy's coast
At least three people have died after a luxury cruise ship ran aground off the Italian coast in an accident which forced the coast guard to evacuate more than 4000 people to safety, media reports say. The 114500-tonne Costa Concordia was on a trip around the Mediterranean when it "hit an obstacle" near the island of Giglio off the coast of Tuscany late on Friday, a coast guard official told the Associated Press news agency. Al Jazeera's Paul Brennan reports.

Third survivor is found on capsized liner off Italy
www.euronews.net Italian rescue teams searching for dozens of missing people more than a day after a cruise ship capsized have made voice contact with another survivor. They are doing all they can to reach the person trapped in the stricken Costa Concordia which hit rocks off the west coast of Italy, late on Friday. A minor miracle occurred earlier when a South Korean couple on honeymoon were found alive in a cabin, more than 24 hours after disaster struck.

In addition to simply lined upper lashes, classic kitten flick and extreme cat eye there are all kinds of edgy, arty, out-there creative shapes and colours gracing the pages of the glossies (and the runway). Newer formulations, and more importantly packing solutions, mean application is starting to get easier (still takes practice though!). In the video I mess around with a colour that from the minute I saw I was drawn too. This dark olive green shade felt a bit different, great for autumnal nights. In terms of the shape, stick to shapes which suit your eyes and go as edgy as you dare. Remember that most peoples faces are pretty asymetrical especially when in movement (talking etc), so dont beat yourelf up if you dont look like a photoshopped advert when your done. Its more about having fun with make-up. I've tried to include lots of tips for getting a good application, like applying the liner looking straight ahead and keep pulling back to check, so hopefully it'll be a useful one as well. There are some pretty amazing shades of liquid liner available, so choose a shade you love (with your heart not your head) and start creating!

Italy may declare cruise liner emergency
www.euronews.net The Italian government will declare a state of emergency in waters around Giglio Island if the stranded Costa Concordia starts leaking fuel. The vessel, which has been stranded since Friday, is carry some 2300 metric tonnes of fuel. It is currently wedged on a rocky ledge in the middle of a natural maritime park. A salvage operation was aborted yesterday owing to bad weather. Rescue workers fear the Costa Concordia could slip into much deeper water and hamper their efforts to remove the wreckage.

www.facebook.com Products used MUFE HD foundation 128 Beauty Blender Sponge Smashbox cream liner palette- Picasso (blue) Makeup Forever eyeshadow #81 Ardell Lashes #120 AND 102 demi wispies Maybelline gel liner in black applied with the brush it sells with NARS multiple in Maldives MAC eyeliner in Smolder (black) The secret to applying a winged liner for a cat eye effect is all about the product and the brush you use. There are many brands of gel and liquid eyeliners. I find gel liners are smoother and easier to work with, most last longer as well. For this look I chose the Maybelline 24 hr gel liner. This is a great dupe for the Bobbi Brown Gel Eyeliner, and the brush that comes with it is professional quality. Royal blue smokey shadow is best applied in contrast with a deeper crease and really precise blending. The secret to the lashes is to apply two pairs of Ardell lashes on top of one another.
