Phoenix LGBT flash mob silences bigoted preachers with "Born This Way"
At Phoenix Pride 2012, a group of bigoted preachers who attend LGBT pride celebrations in many states, heckled folks leaving the pride parade. One hurled particularly vile, un-Christian insults at the crowd, causing emotions to run high. Then a flash mob, led by Queen B, demonstrated what true Christian love was about by performing "Born This Way" to the cheers of the crowd - and silencing the hate speech of the preachers. LGBT Vs. GLBT
Do you say LGBT or GLBT or queer or something different? Visit my personal blog: www.breaktheillusion.com Visit my fitness blog www.daveywaveyfitness.com Like me on facebook www.facebook.com Follow me on twitter: www.twitter.com Second channel: www.youtube.com Here's the thing: In my blogs and videos, I almost always say LGBT, standing for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender. But pretty much everytime I say it, i get emails from people that are so upset that as a gay man, I didn't put the "G" first. To be honest, the reason I do it is because lesbians really face a double whammy of discrimination - first for being a woman, and secondly for being gay. So I put the "L" first in the acronym to recognize that. But really, if you think about it - transgender individuals probably face the most discrimination - and then most people don't even think bisexuality even exists. So maybe it should be TBLG? And then there's queer, but a whole bunch of people really don't like that. And maybe you're thinking, "What the big deal?" And sure there are plenty of other issues that deserve our time and attention, but it is something that matters to a lot of people and is certainly worthy of discussion. So - what do you say? GLBT? LBGT? LGBTUVWXYZ? And why do you say it?

Is LGBT a Sin?
According to The Bible, Homosexuality Is A Sin "Kentucky Company Attacked for Declining Business of Homosexual Group" -- April 2 -- The New American A T-shirt company in Lexington, Kentucky, is facing the wrath of a local homosexual activist contingent after the business politely passed on producing T-shirts for the city's "gay pride" festival. On March 26, Lexington's Gay and Lesbian Services Organization (GLSO) filed a discrimination complaint against the family-owned company, Hands On Originals, alleging that the firm had bid on producing the shirts, but when it was selected its owners changed their minds, explaining that their Christian values made them unable to fill the order for the "gay"-themed apparel. Is homosexuality a sin? YES! Leviticus 18:22, "Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it [is] abomination." Leviticus 20:13, "If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood [shall be] upon them." Romans 1:26-28, "For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet. And even as they did not like to retain God in [their] knowledge, God gave them over ...

Obama and LGBT Discrimination: No Executive Order

LGBT Weekly: Raw Video Of Brooke Fantelli Being Tazed By Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Ranger
Accompanying article on LGBT Weekly (lgbtweekly.com by Autumn Sandeen (lgbtweekly.com Article excerpt: ...Standing, hands up in the air with no visible resistance to arrest, Ranger Petter tazed Brooke Fantelli in the abdomen. At slightly more than 50 seconds into the video, the ranger tazed her a second time -- this time in the crotch. Back when Brooke Fantelli was known as Rodd Fantelli, she was a well known off-road race driver who won numerous races. She owns Fantelli Racing Products in Ramona, a custom off-road fabrication shop with 20 years of fabrication and racing history -- she's still a well known figure in the off-road racing community. Oct. 22 she was out in the Imperial County desert on federal land. With her were a long-time friend, a photographer, two models and a preteen who was a child of one of the models. They were out in the desert to take photos of the two models for their portfolios, and they were using one of Brooke's trucks and the desert as the backdrop for the photos. According to Brooke, a Bureau of Land Management (BLM) ranger by the name of Petter came by to see what the group was doing. Ranger Petter, in the process of finding out what they were doing, looked at the identification of all of the members of the group, and this is where the problems began... © 2011 LGBT Weekly. Hillary Clinton's United Nations Speech - LGBT Rights.
"Incredible." "Brilliant." "Extraordinary." Those were the words used by a great many on Twitter and Facebook describing Hillary Clinton's speech on LGBT rights in Geneva yesterday to the United Nations Human Rights Council and President Obama's memorandum tying foreign aid to nations' records on LGBT rights. More than a few LGBT social networkers described themselves as being "in tears" upon hearing the Clinton speech, and many lamented that Clinton was not president -- and they weren't giving up on that prospect. "It was an incredibly brave and brilliant speech that makes me proud to be an American," wrote one commenter, summing up the thoughts of many. "Hillary 2016!!" There were quite a few dissenters as well, calling the administration's actions "lip service" heading into an election, and questioning why the president wasn't pushing harder in this country while pressuring foreign countries. Some pointed to Clinton's --- and the president's --- public opposition to marriage equality as a hypocritical position while they were lecturing other leaders about religion-based discrimination against LGBT people. "We need our politicians to stop policing the world and focus their efforts on fixing our homeland! I want equal rights and protection. AND I AM AN AMERICAN!! Talk is cheap and it is time for action!!" went one status update on Facebook. Several prominent LGBT figures gave HuffPost Gay Voices their diverse reactions as well: Dan Savage, author, columnist and founder ...
NAACP on LGBT Civil Rights - Wanda Sykes, Don Lemon, Julian Bond
NAACP hosted an LGBT town hall meeting at their 2011 NAACP National Convention in Los Angeles. Wanda Sykes, CNN's Don Lemon, former NAACP president Julian Bond led a discussion on LGBT civil rights, "praying the gay away" and homophobia & hypocrisy in the black church. The debate gets heated when the current NAACP president is asked how can the LGBT community take the NAACP seriously when its current board members are out saying that gay rights are not civil rights, referring to current NAACP board member Rev. Keith Ratliff recent statement "Gay community stop hijacking the civil rights movement." Current NAACP CEO Benjamin Jealous responded saying the gay community should take the NAACP seriously because the NAACP were there with the Human Rights Campaign helping to pass the Matthew Shepard / James Byrd Hate Crimes Bill. The NAACP were champions of fighting Prop 8 in California as well as fighting alongside the LGBT community in Maine, Massachusetts, in Washington DC and in Maryland, and in other places. Jealous also pointed to the LGBT community to coming to the black community late in the game with an expectation and not treating the community with the same respect as others. Saying the LGBT community needs to show up early, organize and build relationships in the community.
