The Lexus IS 250 is supposed to give the Audi A4, the BMW 3-series and the Mercedes C-class a run for their money on the European market. Lexus is using the IS 250 to succeed on the old continent, particularly in Germany. It offers a choice between diesel and gasoline engines.At 208 horsepower, the IS 2.5 liter, V6 gasoline model with an automatic transmission can take the car from zero to 100 kilometers an hour in 8.4 seconds. The car also has a maximum speed of 230 kilometers an hour. The result with the LFA Nürburgring package shows the cars ultimate performance and agility The 4.8L V10 engine for Nürburgring Package equipped LFA's produce 562 horsepower, 10 more horsepower than the standard high-performance LFA. The gear-shift time has been reduced by 0.05 seconds to only 0.15 seconds for even faster gear changes. The Nürburgring Package is limited to only 50 units out of the 500 LFA hand-assembled for global distribution. It will also have the following features: A sport-tuned suspension, exclusive black mesh-type wheels and dedicated high-grip tires for better handling; And a larger front spoiler and fixed rear wing for improved high speed down force.
