"Lego felt tip 110" printer connected to an Apple Mac. This is not mindstorms, I designed/built/coded it all from scratch including analog motor electronics, sensors and printer driver, the USB interface uses a "wiring" board. FAQ: Track name? "Christopher and Raphael just popper Shinichi Osawa distortion disco edit" FAQ: How long did this take? Hard to say, maybe 3 weeks working evenings. FAQ: You're a student and this is a university project? I'm not a student, this is just a hobby project. FAQ: Just a remake of the 1092a? No, I'd never seen the 1092a until now. However some of the parts came from a 8094 kit amongst others many years ago. It is made to my own design, but I acknolwedge influences and the great work of the official lego designers ! FAQ: Does this use mindstorms? Nope, wiring demo board + homemade analog electronics and sensors. FAQ: DPI? Dots per inch? Approx 75 DPI FAQ: PPM? Pages per minute? Not even 1! I sped things up a little in the video editing to keep it interesting to watch :) FAQ: Helvetica? Yes of course, my respect to those who noticed :) FAQ: Full color version/more colours? Lego Space Shuttle
My name is Raul Oaida (from Romania) and this is my LEGO tribute to the end of the space shuttle era. Proving that although retired, this machine can still fly, albeit in toy form. The launch took place from central Germany (easy flight clearance) and reached a max altitude of 35000m. A 1600g meteo balloon filled with helium was used alongside a GoPro Hero, Spot GPS and of course Lego Space Shuttle model 3367. We launched it on the 31st of December 2011, the equipment was recovered via GPS tracking 240 km SE from a remote area. THE SIMPSONS intro lego style
I made this video when I was 13. This is the TV series Simpsons intro but it´s done in lego. It took me about two days to film and edit. This video was in Television, in Estonia and Also on BBC2 on the Graham Norton show. It was shown to Harry Shearer. And yes, I knew who I was talking to and I was just scared, because The call was a surprise to me. I tried to make it as smooth as possible, though it could have been better. The first part with the clouds was done in Paint. I used Pinnacle Studio version 8 to edit it. The laser was done in LSMaker. I hope you like it.

Go see all of his videos!!!! I made a video off of Weird Al's music video to "White and Nerdy"...but it's in LEGO!!! Hope you like it!!! It took me a LOOOOOOONG time to make it, but it was a lot of fun!! (Ok, it took me a week to make it) This is my very first film that I have made in 16 frames per second. I also used Windows Movie Maker to put the pictures together. The "effects" like the (ping pong ball) were all done in Microsoft Paint. clockwork LEGO Useless Machine -- turns itself off
The sole function of this LEGO(TM) machine is to turn itself off. Having seen a number of electrical or electronic solutions I decided to go for a purely mechanical one. I used a LEGO clockwork motor to provide the power, which provides a lot less oomph than the electric ones. The first "working" design needed far too much torque, and the last prototype you see here works much more smoothly. I also wanted the appearance to be as close to "just a box with a switch" as possible, to have just a single hole for the clockwork key, and yet to be able to display the innards using hinges. The hardest part was probably getting the flap to operate easily and smoothly, and to open and close at the correct parts of the cycle. Careful design of the "pusher" allowed the hole to be fairly small in the later prototypes. There were probably around ten partial or complete prototypes before I found a reliable method and layout. I use the latest prototype(s) as a reference for the next, so I try to have enough bricks around to keep several on the go at once. This kind of device has been called Shannon's Ultimate Machine, the Leave Me Alone Box, and the Most Useless Machine.
Lego Robotic Arm
This is a model prosthetic arm made entirely of Lego. -hand movements and wrist abduction/adduction are Lego pneumatics -wrist pronation/supination, wrist flexion/extension, and elbow flexion/extension are Lego motors (Power Functions) The main purpose of this project was to accurately mimic the full range of motion of a normal human arm and hand. The secondary goal was to maximize speed and power, yet maintain a consistent ratio between the two for demonstration purposes. It is important to note that it was designed as an above elbow prosthesis, and the yellow shoulder is only meant to act as a static model. The amount of weight it can lift is limited to the shape of the object and orientation of the wrist and elbow, but it can't do much with more than a couple pounds. The controller is a rudimentary cluster of switches and joysticks. A 4-motor air compressor with pressure-regulation was made of Lego, but for the demonstration I simply used hand pumps.
