There were so many great name ideas that I had a really hard time deciding!! I have chosen to mix up several different suggestions. First, many people suggested it sounded like a journey, or a chase, or pursuit. so the first word is "pursuit" suggested by mcgrath2692 Then I had to choose "Cygnus" suggested by etamarin because its a unique word I have never heard before, and I love cosmology. Finally, "Thief in the night" by p3sixers got the most thumbs up, so I the final word is "thief" and here is the whole title: Pursuit of the Cygnus Thief. It is called Travis Picking. There are some explanations Ive found through Google, but most of the YouTube videos Ive watched are just guys playing really fast and not really explaining it very well. Travis Picking is a fantastic pattern playing concept that can be built to high speeds and works well for many styles of music. Kansas had a huge hit called Dust in the Wind back in the '70s and last year Pearl Jam had a hit called Just Breathe - both were applying the use of Travis Picking. In the video, I cover the application of this pattern off of several string sets. I also cover a nice old time country music turnaround phrase. Thistrack, along with 19 other songs came from a RCA cassette tape made in 1989 titled "La Serie De Los 20 Exitos", which is a compilation of Jose Feliciano hit songs that I acquired when visiting the town "Piedras Negras", which is located in Coahuila, Mexico. Also, I relate this to "Garcia's Restaurant" located in "Metamoros", which is in Tamaulipas, Mexico and I remember hearing many of the songs this tape has being played in the background at the restaurant. Cassette was transferred to digital using stereo gear in background channel photo.
