仁者黃飛鴻Episode 1 Part 1 Plot / Sypnosis: Dicky Cheung plays Wong Fei Hung, the legendary martial artist, and he has 3 students; Leung Foon (Zheng Xiao Dong), Porky Wing (Lam Chi Chung) and Bucktooth So (Ben Cheung). Fei Hung is sent by his father Wong Kei Ying to set up a Po Chi Lam branch in Hong Kong. Before he departs, his parents made arrangement with parents of Chi Wah (Alice Chan) to marry both of them. Due to a misunderstanding, Chi Wah refuses to marry, and runs off to Hong Kong instead. Due to twist of fate, Fei Hung and Chi Wah meet up again in Hong Kong. Meanwhile, Fei Hung befriends a soft-spoken Japanese girl, Ching Heung. Ching Heung likes Fei Hung very much, and Fei Hung too, has feelings for her, but couldn't accept her due to his promise of marriage. Annie Man plays Little Sparrow, a witty girl who earns a living by pickpocketing. She and Leung Foon eventually fall in love, and Leung Foon convinces her to turn over a new leaf.

In the Malaysia's historical city of Malacca lives Kung-Fu Master Ho Eng Hui. He has mastered the art of breaking open coconuts with his index finger. For eight long years, his performances at the popular Jonker Street have drawn large crowds of locals and tourists alike. Yet all the smashing of coconuts has taken a toll on his "finger of steel." [Ho Eng Hui, Kung-Fu Master]: "It was broken. I thought I was finished but I persevered and kept on thinking that I would be famous. That's how I got this finger that has fed my whole family." Ho often appears to be in severe pain during his performances and needs assistance removing his finger from the coconut. But after a quick application of medicinal oils he claims to feel no pain. The tourists love him. [Jamie Greenhough, Canadian Kung-Fu Enthusiast] "It's a true art. He is a skillful Kung-Fu master." But Ho is contemplating retirement and a long deserved rest for his finger. In 2001, he entered the Malaysia Book of Records for breaking three coconuts in one minute and 11 seconds, in quick succession. The record remains unchallenged till today.

Drunken Master
One of the earliest major films starring Jackie Chan, this 1978 Hong Kong offering highlights the relationship between a student and his martial arts master. This theme would dominate the American martial arts genre for years to come, as evidenced by The Karate Kid and many films to follow. Wong Fei-hong, played by Chan, is a 19th-century folk hero in Chinese culture and cinema, a kung fu master who fights injustice in the time of British colonialism. This character would later be portrayed by Jet Li in the more serious Once Upon a Time in China. Drunken Master finds Wong in his early years as a troublesome youth who is sent to receive discipline and martial arts instruction from his uncle (Siu Tien Yuen), the hard-drinking title character. Wong runs away, but runs afoul of some local villains. Beaten badly, he returns to his uncle, who trains him in "drunken-style" kung fu. The martial arts showcased by Chan in this film are important in the development of his career; the staggering, inebriated techniques allow for a looser, more flowing style, but more importantly, they contribute to the elaborate martial-arts slapstick that have become Chan's trademark and have made him an international star.

After many years unifying body and mind, Caine now has the skill to do this. Master Kan's last words to Caine is to walk with his head bowed. Followers of the Tao know that pride and ego will always prevent the obtainment of virtue. This video was taken from the 1970's TV series 'Kung Fu' (Created by Ed Spielman, Herman Miller and Jerry Thorpe). It is essentially an American Western set in the latter half of the 1800's, with an Eastern hero who has neither a gun or a horse. The story follows the adventures of Kwai Chang Caine (David Carradine); a nature loving Shaolin priest, who had recently fled China. He speaks softly but is no pushover. He lives humbly yet knows great contentment. Each episode also takes the viewer back to Caine's childhood in the Shaolin temple. It is here under the instruction of the wonderfully charismatic Master Po (Keye Luke) and the stern yet loving Master Kan (Philip Ahn), young Caine (Radames Pera / Keith Carradine) learns the harmoniously balanced ways of Tao. The teachings of the Shaolin was meticulously researched for the Kung Fu series. This makes Kung Fu one of the most authentic interpretations of Philosophical Taoism available in popular culture.
