Kobe Bryant Greatness Personified I wanted to make a comprehensive 10 minute video filled with every aspect of Kobe's game. His flawless skill set, his dynamic style of play, and to fully illustrate what makes him so great. I have had the privilege of watching him play for a long time and I wished to condense his prime into a 10 minute video. There is a reason I consider this man the greatest player that has ever played this game. The most remarkable thing about the greatness of Kobe Bryant is that he wasn't as blessed as other have been athletically , yet he MAXIMIZED his abilities through the best work ethic in NBA history. Was he blessed to have Durant's 6''9 height, 7''7 wingspan? Was he blessed to Have Lebron's 6''8 , 260 lb frame+FT line /head over rim explosion? Was he blessed to have Tmac's unbelievable length? Was he blessed enough to have Jordan's huge hands+incredible leaping ability? Was he blessed enough to have Wade's or Rose's speed? The answer is no. He isn't the fastest, most athletically or genetically gifted player ever. He was a decent leaper with an unpolished game; a weak 17-year old bench player that loved the game of basketball. No one ever thought this kid would recover from his ultimate low "air ball moment" in Utah, yet he has proven everyone wrong by blossoming into the Greatest skill/talent/fundamental player the league has EVER seen. Of all the NBA greats who have headlined the All-Star Game in the past, no one's scored more than Kobe Bryant. The Los Angeles Lakers guard broke Michael Jordan's career All-Star Game scoring record on Sunday night. Bryant needed 19 points to eclipse Jordan's record of 262 career All-Star points. He broke the record on a fast-break dunk in the third quarter of the West's 152-149 victory. Bryant, who ended the night with 27 points and also passed Oscar Robertson (246 career All-Star points) and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (251 points) during the game, tied the record on two free throws in the third quarter, taking a break between them to wipe blood from his nose after a hard foul from Miami's Dwyane Wade. Bryant stayed in the game after the hit, but left to be evaluated afterward and did not speak to the media. The Lakers announced later on their website that a CT scan revealed Bryant suffered a nasal fracture. The Lakers said Monday that the team will give an update on Bryant's health Tuesday after his expected visit with ear, nose and throat specialist Dr. John Rehm. Bryant is a four-time MVP of the All-Star Game, most recently winning the award in 2011 after scoring 37 points in his home arena. He's tied with Bob Petit for most MVPs. It was Bryant's 14th All-Star appearance, tying him with Boston Celtics forward Kevin Garnett for the most All-Star selections among active players. Jordan played in 13 All-Star Games. The Los Angeles Clippers showed they could beat the Lakers even with Kobe Bryant going over the 40-point mark for the fourth consecutive game. Chris Paul scored 33 points, Blake Griffin had 22 points and 14 rebounds, and the Clippers led all the way in winning 102-94 on Saturday night, their second victory in four days over one of the NBA's elite teams. "It's early. We're not going to get too high with these wins," Paul said. "We definitely made strides in the right direction defensively and with rebounding. We got to make that habit and not a one-time thing." Paul limped off after hitting a jumper in the final minutes and said after the game that he hurt his left leg and would see a doctor.
